ya u got it man.... now, it all depends on what you want your body type to be. The more reps you do the more cut you will get. If you want to just gain mass, then you should do less reps more sets at a higher weight. You are training for lacrosse so im sure you just wanna get cut, and big at the same time huh....Just remember though when you are lifting to always change your workout, I stick to one workout for a month, and then totally change it the next. If you stick to the same workout, your body adjusts to it, and your body type will just get to a point where it doesnt get any bigger. Anyways, thats alot of info, but heres my workout sched.
Monday- Chest
Tuesday- Back
Weds- Shoulders
Thurs- Arms (Bi's/Tri's)
Fri- Light Chest Workout to tone out my chest
Sat/Sun- I usually take the weekend off to give my body a breather, Your muscles only get bigger during your recovery time, not when your lifting, so its good to take days off and let them rest.
This is also a workout plan to just try and get bigger. If your playing a sport, you are going to be doing more workouts that just keep your muscles in shape, and keep you agile. Like you may be doing 3 body parts a day, but really lightly
For everyday I usually do about 5-6 excercises depending on how im feeling that day. This month I am doing like a really extensive workout that I read about thats hard to explain. But just start off doing 3 sets of reps of 10, and do about 5 excersises. Then the next month try 3 sets of 12, then 4 sets of 10, and then switch it up to 10,8,6,3 and do higher weight. I know its real confusing, so just hit me back with any questions. Also, a good thing to do is to pick up Muscle Fitness mag, they give alot of good advice. But stay away from supplements and the ad's, they just fuck u up in the long run
Anyways, if u got any other questions just keep messagin me
Pat
Oh yeah, you misheard me, i said i wasnt doing club lacrosse cause its pratically an all year thing and lax already cut a ton of skiing out but i might do intramural. naw, im just doing it mostly for skiing so i'll probably replace one or two of those days with legs and another with core stuff in addition to some kinda cardio. do you do a lot of secondary lifts with that routine? and it kinda sounds like a long term pyramid deal, kinda cool..
