Ski ward has a summer rail jam and a big air contest coming up late september i think

Any info on the rail jam? I'm heading up with a few buddies on Thursday to ski ward to shred for a day, maybe film some. Would love to see fellow NSer's make it down there if possible.

It's not bad actually, I was getting close to dub flats in the bag the other day. The rails are actually nice this year too, they just added a new tube. Would love to know when the ski ward jam is if anyone knows

nevermind! I was watching some videos of the bag and most of them had no speed going in

Yeah the videos are not a good display of how deep you can actually take it. They have some weird gel stuff they put down occasionally that can send you to the backside of the bag

Saturday October 14th?

The last one was Saturday, October 13th and the one before was Saturday, October 12th so I can only guess.

I do not know if that is correct or not it is only a guess

I'll probably do one at Oak, it upstate NY early NOV Was going to do a movie/rail jam combo in sept/oct but won't be back till late oct, early nov.

Late preseason but maybe I'll build something super weird to make up for it if people wanna get down.

To thread, mt snow will probably have their preseason shred action going in oct. That used to be pretty fun. HAven't been in a 4 or 5 years though, not sure if it still happens.

Is there a contest for a prize or is it just like a event where we ski around

I was told that there will be prizes given away, that typically means (or at least has in the past) that the judges give out stuff to the best competitors. So, essentially yes it is a contest for a prize

Btw for anyone wondering about the skiward jump and how much speed you get, i just went there for the first time last weekend. The videos they posted are of people that don't know how to tuck. If you get a good push and then tuck you will be fine. Also if you plan on going, bring long sleeve under armor and spandex pants. The plastic stuff you ski on there scraps up your skin pretty bad when you fall hard.

That stuff sucks to fall on, I've been to ski ward a bunch of times and have been destroyed but the mSnow stuff they have laid out. If its hot I still choose to wear shorts and a t-shirt because being comfortable temperature wise is more important to me, falling on the stuff honestly isn't too bad; will just sting for a few minutes

It's not an official competition with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place but the vendors (ie. Eastern Boarder, TechNine, Face, Epik, etc) will be acknowledging and giving shoutouts to stuff they see that they like; best trick, sickest run and the like along with a ton of giveaways.

Saw on the news last night that Lost Valley ended up raising enough funds to open again. I'm sure if someone shoots them an email about the amount of hype for a preseason jam they would be into setting it up to make the money they need to open up their 2nd lift

Damn that means I have to chose between the crotched mountain one and the lost valley one.

I don't know much about Lost Valley but I've heard Crotched is supposed to be having a pretty dope setup for their preseason jam, not sure all the details though.

Will I see any NSer's down at the Ski Ward Jam tomorrow? Pretty stoked on learning some new tricks and hanging out.
