Prescription Goggles vs OTG

So I have tried contacts several times and just can't do them. I have gone most of my ski life just dealing with my blurry vision but I decided it's time to address the issue. So, my question is if I should drop 300+ dollars on prescription goggles or just get OTG and deal with the hassle of glasses and goggles. Anybody have any experience with either of these? Any advice?

Look into those prescription inserts. It's what my wife uses and her sister is an eye doctor. They are really pretty inexpensive and they will fit into your regular goggles. My wife has used the OTG goggles too but she really prefers the inserts.

Just looked into those, they're pretty sweet considering I can use them for more than just skiing. Do you know of any that aren't like $200+?

I tried the glasses + goggles thing once and couldn't deal with the discomfort. I've been wearing glasses since first grade and contacts since fourth so with -5.75 vision not wearing a prescription would be the shittiest idea for me. I just ended up going with contacts and goggles that fit my face nice and snug this way my lenses don't dry out. I still have a couple pairs + drops as a backup in my bag but never needed them. If you're set on not going contacts, go for the prescription inserts. They're better than the prescription goggles imo.

I can t wear contacts either. For skiing I always wear my glasses below my goggles. Goggles I use Oakley Canopy and a random older XL sized one. I dont have any problems at all. Both fit really well over glasses. Imo "true" OTG goggles look horrible.

When I go touring I wear just the glasses for uphill to avoid foggy glasses under your goggles.

I'd call around to different shops or see if you can find a place online that you can just send your prescription to. I guess it depends on what your prescription is but I've seen them advertised for as little as $30 for a more basic prescription.
