Prepping a Ledge

a lil snow or ice. or wax.

make sure it's surface isn't too gnarly to begin with.

other than that, go for it. ledges are fun.

yes i ned some more isnight.

painting the ledge works i hear. i've never tried it though. wax takes a while, whats the best quick setup? besides wax. paint the ledge the night beore if tis really crusty?

my skatepark is sooo sweet, we have like 3 ledges that are super smooth, and are always waxed really good, and we have like 3 rails that work really good, and its all kinda sloped so you can get speed. but to prep a ledge id say just get some big candles and just wax it really good, it would only take like 5 or 10 minuites, then if its cold enough throw some snow on there and bring some water bottles and spray water on the snow, then put on another layer of snow on top of that and wait like 10 minuites, then scrape it down to get it even.

i hit one at tremblant, its the one outside the restaurant at the bottom of the cabriolet. if your looking at the mountain, its on your right. get some candles, really fat long ones, that will make it nice and slick, and just rub your ski over it to make sure that theres nothing that will tear your edge off, or stop you. also, it helps for it to be brutally cold

depending on the ledge, smooth ones sometimes dont need any prep, especially if there is like a little ice on em.

wax works well too.

finally for realy bad ones try using clear coat spray paint, then wax.

or for the really bad ones sanding then clear coat then wax.
