PREMIERE QUESTION

i use premiere and is there a plug-in or something to make it run more smoothly? for example it takes a while to load up a small project and to render effects. On my friends comp, which is weaker than mine, it runs faster, like immeadiatly. i have a 1.8, 200 gigz hd space, and 384 meg of memory. Any help would be great. Thanks a lot ! -Jon

yeah....cheapass. anyone whop actually pays money for that is a moron. getting a bootleg copy is the way to go. and dont go calling people 'newb's' becasue thats just stupid. hes new to the site who cares. just stupid.

anyway, i would upgrade your ram because thats most important. your gonna want to have 1 GB of DDR(best if DDR400, which is the fastest ram) if that doesnt work i dont know what to tell you. maybe people who know should just answer the question for him instead of calling him a 'NEWB'

i've done hours of editing on my old crappy Pentium 3 800mhz, 7200rpm 55gb hd, 128mb 133mhz sdram.. everything works like a dream.

and fo rendering effects quickly you'll gonna need a capture card which can process the effects in realtime but they cost like 700$.

you can edit in differnet quality modes...so your defaults (or at least what you have it set for) are probably too much for your machine.
