i dont think its possible unless.. unless you split the clip and try n fade it gradually manually... but im stumped

it might be film burn.. is that what your talking about? if so the best way is to over expose film and then use it as a cross fade.

nah i think its a film burn, done by overexposing 16mm film

yea berman probably over exposed some of his own film, ive heard of some wack mehtods of rendering one in premiere, but i tried em, none of them work, film burning is the only good way to do it

How would you over expose Digital?

On my camera you can simply adjust the exposure to overexpose it. Theres a little button and dial that you use to adjust it.

no i meant he got some 16mm or 8mm film and exposed it, and then telecined it, either that or he just got it from another production company

Here you go, first you need to cut the clip up where you want it to change fades because with this stock effect you cannot keyframe. The go to your quicktime effects under vid effects and color fade is right there. I'll warn you that this takes a VERY long time to render out because its a complicated algorithm it calculates for each frame. Use your quicktime effects its your friend

Film noise -> dust and fading, another option is using the image control filters which gives you a little more control, but takes more experience to get good results. Happy editing!

ohhhhh your talking about that kind of fading. I think the other person was talking about a different kind? Or maybe im lost.

never seen royalty so i don't know exactly what you want, just so you know; if you can do it with final cut you can do it with premiere and after effects, i.e. you think of how you want something to look, you can pretty much figure a way to do it just be creative
