Why are these people protesting against abortion, haven't they heard of Ferguson!!? The horrors

Also yeah, too bad none of them grasped that. That said I understand where he was coming from. I legitimately believe the camera wasn't on to take video of people going into the clinic but instead capture any drama that happened involving them. If they got attacked or somebody said they attacked them they would have a video of said incident. Like people recording cops etc.

yeah i agree it's a very good idea to have it, but i think it should only be on if and when police are present or if something starts kicking off. no reason to just be standing on a street with a camera on

13253035:las. said:You think spreading hate and shame against people who want the right to make decisions about what they do with their own body isn't wrong? It's not peaceful either, as shown by this video. It's deeply morally offensive, regardless of how these sorts of protesters choose to conduct themselves.
Furthermore, don't you think it's ultra hypocritical that these people are essentially protesting to have more poeple on the earth (and smearing those who think that's probably not a good idea) instead of actually helping the masses who are already in great need and living horribly depressing lives?
I think the strongest point against pro-life, one which presumably people like you and others similar are either failing to understand or choosing to ignore, is this: there is an extreme difference between living and surviving. Do you accept that? Do you understand that pregnancies can be unplanned, and bringing an unwanted baby into the world against the mothers'/parents' will is typically going to ensure that it, at worst, lives a life devoid of financial and loving support, filled with misery and pain?
We're supposed to be living in the first world. Take woman off the animal cycle with which they have been chained to for so long, and give them control of their reproductive organs. Great cure for poverty, too, while we're at it.

Now matter how many times this issue is hashed out there will always be a divide. Just the way it is

It'll change. The religious right always changes their views once the rest of society cock-slaps the truth in their collective face hard enough. Religion is poison and has always been against the progress of humanity.

In terms of more people on the earth these people are also against having promiscuous sex as well. Although some churches still teach "As for you, be fruitful and multiply; Populate the earth abundantly and multiply in it." - Genesis 9:7 which is fucking ridiculous.
What you fail to understand is that it's all a matter of how you view life and where it's created. If somebody kills a kid or leaves a new born baby in a dumpster those are major crimes. So where does it all begin? There's viewing the fetus as a miniature baby(which it does look like) This isn't the same as saying that a woman's vajayjay belongs to jebus and if she ever looks at it, let's the doctor look at it, or touches it she will for sure burn in hell forever.
There's everything from conception being a baby(Maybe even splooge?) to it's not a baby till it crawls out of your snatch to who cares let it feed itself.
Both sides see it clearly and can't understand why the otherside can't grasp it. But you will never come together because you both have a strong argument that you feel is soundly based. The "It's her body let her do what she want's" and the "Omg you're coathangering a baby over there".

You read that online, and believed it. I'm pretty sure I would know how Christians feel about adoption and single mothers.. The church I go to in my town is accepting of anyone. And whenever strangers come they are warmly welcomed. Stop judging religions by what you read online.
13254684:las. said:You've misunderstood me. It's not a peaceful protest when what they're protesting for is blatantly offensive and insulting (in this case in a moral sense, by saying you don't even have the right to choose what you do with your own body). Similarly, look at the WBC. By your definition, their protests are peaceful too. Protesting in a non-violent manner waving obscene signs around does not automatically equal a peaceful protest, as proven by the op video, and to a far greater extent by the cowards that are the WBC protesting/picketing funerals etc.
To where humans come from, I think I understand childbirth quite well actually, thanks to medical science. How conception and gestation and childbirth all work isn't a matter of opinion; it's scientific, observable fact. There's nothing supernatural about it. Your view or opinion is completely irrelevant.
That's all still beside the main point, though. If a pregnancy is unwanted (which could be for various rational, legitimate reasons), regardless of what age you consider the fetus to become a human being, the decision to keep or terminate it should be solely with the mother. It's astonishing how people arguing against that can even think they have a foot to stand on

13255268:theabortionator said:No I think you misunderstood me. I mentioned what you're talking about. To you it's a decision about their body. To them it's a decision for the life or death of a baby. You're on different sides of the coin here. They feel what you support is morally shit and you feel the same way as them. You're likely never going to come together on this though.
And can people stop talking about the wbc please? Everybody talking about them, getting butthurt about them, writing articles about them is the only thing that keeps them going. Either ignore them or do something about it. They would have given up years ago but it;s so easy for them to get national maybe even world attention.
You can keep yelling on your soapbox but they're going to keep doing the same thing from there's.
Good luck.
13255571:las. said:The difference between the two positions, though, is that one is logical and humane, whilst the other is barbaric and morally bankrupt religious bullying. There aren't two ways about that, either.
Thankfully, the world is progressing and usually these disgusting habits eventually eradicate themselves
13255628:JenniferGarner said:Throughout history religion has proven itself to be only against equality and progression for the good of humanity. I want someone to prove how religion has been beneficial to this planet. The only claim is giving humanity morals which is something that would exist without some book. Everything else the church has done has been to prevent human progress. Science, civil rights, immigration, learning, asking questions, gender equality, women's rights, etc.
If you look throughout history at all the important events of human history, religion has always been the ones against it and Christians and the Catholic church are the worst offenders.
