Predictions for next year

GTFO and stay in TGR!

for the 1620 issue.... it has been done already by henrik harlut!? im suprised no one pointed it out, henrik did switch 1620 mute.

I think next year on the pro side: will be a year of double cork competition. its not about the double flips now its all about the double corks and who does them better. since pk started to master them, prety much all of the pro's have been doing them and doing theyr own variations. I cant wait to see some double grabed double corks!

on the average skier side: I think it wont be much different. Baggy is not going to die, neither is tight pants. Were going to keep complaining about having similar styles and wanting to be like snowboarders.... even though we are not, at least not here.

first of all look at the date. created in 2006. therefore Henrik didn't do the 16 yet.

Oh and double cork grabed with double mute was already down by Henshaw.

Some of the answers in this thread are kind of right i guess. for example the diversity and creativity.

oh snap I didnt notice that, sorry! and as for the double grab'd double corks, I know they have been done, there were a few in JOSS. Im just saying that those will realy start to take off as the riders get more and more comfortable with the double corks and I cant wait to see all of the possibilities

I really really hope that skiing will keep following the same trends it has been following for years. Like I wanna see just how tall a T can truly get ya know? I mean how G'd out can one skier be? I can't say I'm that excited to watch the tricks people are gonna throw I just can't wait to see how far the gangster steeze can really stretch before people realize that IT IS FUCKING STUPID

That's exactly what I was gonna post. Well, something along those lines anyways. He nailed it though. Diversity. Some following the thug thing, and some going the other way towards the hesher look. 3 years ago and his prediction nailed it.

I think the smooth spins, creative approaches to jibbing like presses, taps, overcrooks and nollies/tip drops will be embraced in the future. New grabs, hand drags, butters and such will hopefully become more popular off kickers. I'd still like to see someone do a worm turn off a booter or knuckle and end up in a super corked spin and landing. That would be fucking rad and hilarious.

ahahahmore logically, given that traveling backwards in time is far easier achieved than the opposite, he would go back in the past and bump this thread before it got bumped. :p
