Predictions for Best Park 2003-04

Hey guys, what are your predicitons for the best terrain park for the 2003-2004 season. Here is the list, put them in order.

*Loon Mountain, NH

*Cannon Mountain, NH

*Sunday River, ME

*Sugarloaf, ME

*Jay Peak, VT

*Wildcat, NH

*Waterville Valley, NH

*Stowe, VT

*Mt. Snow, VT

if you have any other suggestions for the 'list' let me know. I believe the sickest park this year will be in the hands of Sunday River.

I think every mountain will have a good park this year.. theres just goin to be different elements for each, which depending on what you like to hit, will depend on what you think is the best.... Even CT mountains are stepping it up this year, thats when u know shit is gettin focked up

SUNDAY RIVERS park is NOT THAT GOOD, sure it may have the sickest jumps, super nice rails, and a sick quarter pipe, but the fact is it takes nearly a hour to put 2 runs in on that park, u either go on a crowded ass quad, that takes u way up on the mountain, or go way outta your way to a triple, and hiking sucks cause the jumps are huge and u gotta hike wicked far to hit em, so i conclude that it really isnt all that good in the long run, because by the time u got the jumps dialed ure either dead from hiking, or it 3 in the afternoon, and you get one more run..

*note there may be some exaggeration in there, but i still dont thinks it all that good, and the other parks have bad lifts too

waterville is the way to go, its got its own lift, and perfect jumps, pretty good rails, u cant ask for much more

okemos pipe is one of the best around, they got a ton of new good rails not sketchy rainbows like they used to have, and there park is going to 100% better than last year

 
Your list is bogus...are you people blind? Mountain Creeks parks are sooo much better than ANY of the resorts you listed.... heres the REAL list.

1. Mountain Creek (best jibs in the east period, good superpipe, decent jumps, most features)

2. Mount Snow (good jumps, shitty rails)

3. Okemo (good superpipe, decent jumps, shitty rails)

 
busta, you are a retard, Sunday River has 4 parks home-boy, not 1 park, and maybe you are a slow-as-&(*) skier, but it should definetely not take you more than 30 minutes a r

Best East Coast Parks

1. mt snow ( best jumps on the EC, pipe and rails ok)

1. stratton (in march and april, this place rivals anywhere in the country)

1. okemo (pipe is so nice, sometimes park is awesome, sometimes lacking)

4. Sunday River

5. Waterville

6. ill give it to Mountain Creek, but ive never been there and i dont really feel any need to go to New Jersey to go skiing.

7-100 everything else

ellermann? you say youve never been to Mountain Creek yet you have the ability to list resorts that have better parks? are you psychic?

Well, I FOR ONE, have actually been to all of the resorts on your list and can say that there is noooo waaay in hell that places like Waterville, mount snow, okemo have better parks. Mountain Creek has 5 parks, like sick rails, not shitty rails like at okemo and sunday river...like sick shit youll see at places like mammoth and big bear.

Waterville i've heard great things about, but that comes from jeff and he's a wimp so who knows really

stratton pre us/vt open is pretty good, but afterwards, its no contest. THEY HAVE THE BEST PARK IN THE EAST, hands down. And this year, with some new additions like a double barreled half pipe, you really cant go wrong.

Plus, stratton will be pushin park passes, which for all of you who have never heard of such a thing, is a pass that you have to get to go in the big park. What does this mean? It means no more joeys or ski school in the park, which means lower injurys, which means that stratton can build up bigger jumps. Bigger then any other resort on the east coast.

Also, hooter (strattons park manager, who is a master rail builder, his work can be seen all over the US, along with bermans old limo) has got a new bender and is bending up some sick ass rails. That and the rails from last years us and vt open are still kickin around, so expect some sick shit.

The pass into the park is a really good idea, keep the people out who don't belong there. Theres so many times when u land switch and a stupid ass is just sitting at the base of the jump, very dangerious....

Do you know of any new rails they are getting, and what will be up for opening day? Ill be there on sunday most likely

Are you fucking kidding me? Hooter cant build rails for shit...Have you seen his rails? Croooked wobbly....poorly designed.... Hooter is the MAIN reason why Strattons park is sooo old school....Hooter should take some lessons from the other east coast intrawest resort, mountain creek. How is it that a shitty little resort in NJ has a better park that stratton...?

 
My mountain (Cannon) doesnt get the funding to have parks as good as most of your resorts, but it'll be a lot better this year, pipe will be cut all the time now, and maybe if we're luck up to 6-7 new rails and more hits, if the park designer ever gets the space he needs though the park will go off, he built the nicest stepdown over a 60 foot table last year it was fuckin huge

mt creek has a shitload of great rails because the shitty ass little hill has no real skiing so they can afford to dump all their money into park. you little bitches may be able to ride rails all day but you have nothing on our mountains for riding trees and real trails. now shut the fuck up and please stay in jersey we don't need assholes like you up here.

yes mckill, and the people that organize the east coast freeskiing open, they don't know the deal either, because if they did, they would have obviously chosen mountain creek. it's so sad that the armpit of america isn't getting the exposure it deserves, really. Have you NJers heard of glade skiing or powder days?

ctassripper..the freeskiing open is just ONE contest...big deal....Why is it that the Grand Prix (2nd largest snowboard event in the world) chose mountain creek over ALL other east coast resorts for this years finals? umm, in case you didnt know, the grand prix is ALOT bigger and more prestigous than some little 'freesking open'... seriously, if you in fact went to mountain creek last season, you wouldnt be having this argument...its quite obvious that the park is alot better......and for the record, yes....i can ski big mountain just fine....i called sugarbowl and squaw my home for 3 years...dude, there is no real freesking on the east coast..just parks.
