Preason Edit Cretique

This was my first edit for the year with my t2i, I know some of the colors are off and one shot is realy shakey (it was insisted to be put in) but any other things? thanks NS

looks pretty good man, colors were ok not great, and ur sunny shots were a bit over exposed

-shots were pretty shaky, could tell they were on tripod but still shaky-don't zoom on a lens unless it has a continuous aperture. every time you zoom the aperture changes, causing flickering

-colors were bland, and pretty over exposed during the sunny shots

-song is pretty overused imo

-not too much a fan of the black frames in between shots, not sure if that was intentional or not

Colours off your zoom lens were much better than the fisheye, just something to consider. Again, minor colour correcting would really help. Whenever I have used that fisheye I have had to really push the colours to get a sharp image.

This might help:

I felt that after a while the tricks/angles got really repetitive. I would have shortened it by a minute. I'd rather watch 1:30 of good footage than 2:30 of repetitive footage. Tripod shots were good though, pans were pretty smooth.

I've never heard that song in an edit...

I'm not much of a video person, more photo, but I hope that helps!

yeah, like everybody said, a little CC and less shaky shots. it's hard to get good colors out of flat light conditions.

i mean, if he hasn't seen art of flight i guess its nbd but i dunno why you wouldn't have seen AOF

skiing was dope. a few things-get a nice tripod. A few of those shots were very shaky.

-do not zoom while filming with a DSLR. it looks sloppy.

- watch your framing. make sure he is in the center of the shot, and make sure your not to close up

-if your going to use slow motion, then convert all of your footage. dont just slow it down in the editor. shoot in 60p or 30p then convert to 24p and you will get a smooth slow motion shot.

-the song was from the art of flight. if your going to take a song, dont do it from one of the most well known movies in the industry. be original.
