Pre-season jam at bristol

Let's try to make something happen at bristol before it opens. I sent them an e-mail about having a rail jam at the Grape Fest this weekend, but it's probably too short of notice, so I'm gonna keep sending some emails pushing them to have a pre-season rail jam at the bottom of rocket or something and all the money goes to the park/charity. Something like that. So send bristol some emails!

Sounds so legit. Maybe during their little fall festival shennagains the can round something up. I'm down to get my dad to make the 40 minute drive to bristol to fall on my ass!

Here's mine:

Hi, my name is Brandon Thomson. Me and a buddy of mine were talking about doing something this weekend and he brought up the Grape Fest in Naples, and that's when I got this idea. Bristol should hold a rail jam in Naples during the Grape Fest for skiers and boarders, boys and girls. All the money contributions can go towards Bristol's park or a charity of some kind. Every participant would have to have a legal guardians signature and a helmet. And snow can be brought from the Canandaigua Greater Civic Center in Canandaigua, NY or the Thomas Creek Ice Arena in Fairpot, NY or even the ESL rinks in Henrietta, NY. Thanks!

What will most likely happen is there gonna say, "We can't put terrain park features in non terrain park zones" when in reality, all they have to do is have us sign a waiver and put a sign up saying "smart style" and shit.

Got an email back already:

Brandon,

Great

idea. The Grape Fest in Naples is actually already a fund raiser for the Naples

Rotary which gives thousands away every year to deserving

not-for-profits.

I

suggest you contact the organizers of the Naples Grape Fest or the Naples

Rotary and pitch the idea to them.

No

need to include us as there would be no way for us to generate any kind of

usable snow.

Sounds

like you have all the bases covered without us any way.

Here

is the website for the Naples Grape Fest.

Good

Luck!

I sent them this email in response:

What about rails/boxes? Could they be provided by Bristol? Or, because of the short notice, could maybe Bristol mountain plan one

in the october/november time at the bottom of Rocket or something?

This would be a great way to shake that winter anxiety and it could be

a great fund raiser for improvements in Bristols park. Snow could be

transported by truck from ice rinks.

oh and when your setting up an order on tramdock with my debit card # make sure you tell brannon that hes a sweetie.

response from Hunt Hollow:

Brandon-nice idea! Unfortunately, with all the planning that's required to

do an event "right" it's a little late to put something like this together for

this year, but we'll keep it in mind for next year. If you've got any other

ideas for the terrain park, please let me know!

Sincerely,

Well theres obviously never any hope for this, 'cause Bristol obviously can't be motivated enough to even make snow. This is a ski resort they are trying to manage...right?
