Pre-building jumps in summer

So the season's almost over for us, and me any my buddy just finished building a kicker around where we stay at the mountain. In order to get a head start on this for next season, would it be a good idea to build a pre-ramp/landing?

And how would I build one if I did?

^thats not a good idea. if the landing isnt flat, then you dont need to build up a landing. by building a landing, you run the risk of easily under or over shooting, and its different from a real park where theres no gap in between so much and the conditions are more ideal for all landings...so make a landing out of snow

I personally have done it and what I did was just stack some rocks and logs randomly which naturally creates a little booter. It doesn't have to be anything big at all just a starter/base for what's to come. Make a variety in the same spot just for kicks while you're theere.

where are you planning on building this Offtheaxis? I had a friend who pre-built a jump by wrapping hay bales in chicken fencing. It worked pretty well when it was covered in enough snow and the hay froze solid with ice.

too build a wooden jump u can either, get a flat piece of wood, make a frame of 2 by fours to the wanted hieght, nail together, make sure u build a support in the middle of the wood. or

bring a piece of wood, and put bricks under it

cut down trees and stack um in the shape u need and don't let smokey the bear bust ur ass or yul get a hefty ticket and and bad case of a bear attack ha ha!

Build up to the roof of a house; you can drop in off of the edge of the roof, go down a ramp made of hay, and then hit your shit. If you want, you can even check with the owner of the house to see if its okay.

I tried prebuilding a jump at a hill in a park this fall, and we dug a hole to make it cut into the ground and come back out then where going to use the dirt from the hole for the landing, but a few days after we started the city buldozed it and destoryed it all

ya, wood ramps or like someone before me said kind of build it like a BC booter, get like concrete and some bricks or something and make use that to make it like a BC booter. That way, when it snows u just fill it in.
