Practicing for an urban rail.

ok, i want to do urban rails, but i need to practice on rails with low jumps. this is in my yard.... do u think its good for getting the feel of it??? im planning on making the rail tonight.... any thoughts. (this is my first year)

Ya.. what he said.. oh and if it's your first year skiing.. the best practice you will need for urban rails is to run, dive and smash your face into some concrete.. repeatedly.

Just so you won't have to worry about messing your face up the first time you bail on your first hit on some fourteen step..
 
If you actually want to simulate urban, I suggest a 1 foot jump with a 1 1/2 - 2 foot high rail, approached from the side.
 
Have the rail be at least 3 ft. high. And you don't need a set hieght for the kick on to it. It all depends how much snow you have for the rail.
 
make the rail atleast at nut level, and then make the jump the same hieght, that will be good practice.
 
yeah make it taller like the jump and have the rail almost the same height....but go what is comfortable if u never doe a rail before dont do any of that go on boxes first
 
dude just go do an urban rail, I have started this year, I have gone 4 times not, i have a spraned thumb, and a cut sack, it sucks, but just give her a go. (To see the vids go in my profile)
 
why have the jump the same height as the rail, big jumps for urban are ridiculous, and take forever to build, meaning a much higher chance of getting kicked out.
 
When i said same height, i ment the same height at in his pic ( 7 inches or something)

I have a question...

When you start doing rails and stuff, do your testicles totally get the shit beat out of them and recede into your body forever, or is the process counteracted by the manly act of sliding rails itself, which causes them to drop? My sack is important to me.
 
haha its cool dude. i def am gonna try the one on the right, but that was pretty much my first urban this morning. I gotta build a good drop in for the elbow.
 
yea, ive thought about that before, but didnt know if itd cut down on your mobility or something, because i know theyre hard as hell to run in

anyone else have any experience wearing a cup when doing urban?
 
just go out and try it. i didn't learn on some pussy ass timy rail. i just went out and destroyed some huge ass kink and i was like im the shit afterward. and then i learned a whole bunch more on rails cuz my first urban rail was a huge rail and i had my confidence up
 
what happend to me after further checkin it out, you know when you get a rug burn? You dont "bleed" but you kinda do, like it hurts and eventualy scabs over. Yeah that happened to me
