PR Spaceframe and water?

Does anyone know what happens if water were to get into a pair of pocket rockets? would it swell up and fuck the ski like a regular wood core???

part of the edge underfoot (Pocket Rocket) has started to seperate from the actual ski and debating whether to not worry about it and keep riding (park only ski) or try and fix it (which would be hard/annoying to do properly)

depends on how much moisture has already gotten into it and how much wood has been exposed to water...everntually it will do what moisture does to all wood...rots it...either epoxy it...or get it fixed...if u epoxy it i would reccomend letting them dry out as much as possible becasu eu dont want to seal it air tight with moisture condensing on the inside...

Take them to a shop with some beer and ask nicely, it's probably fixable.

Doesn't the Pocket Rocket have a foam core?

looks like im lucky i didnt buy them from you.

It is a foam core in the PR you have, i just cant find any more info on repairs etc.

But i do know

Yeah, I doubt they'd swell, or rot, but who knows, I don't think most foam absorbs water much at all.

trust me foam absorbes alot of water, from experience my old RC4's went to hell about 5 or 6 years ago. foam core rotted badly

I guess it depends on the foam and how airtight it is, cause foam usually floats and doesn't absorb alot.
