As for the rest of it, have buddies in a boat to make sure you're cool, but DO NOT GET INTO THE BOAT for your getaway. There's a coast guard station right by the bridge. The boat checks if you're cool and videotapes everything, and then you swim to shore and get in a car. Then, all good. A wetsuit might not be a bad idea either.

some kids jumped off the ferry... or maybe the dock... when a ferry was there by my house near seattle. it was pretty funny, the ferry workers were yelling at them over the PA system... saying wait on the beach, the authorities will be here shortly... i think they c=got caught anyway.
