Powdwer leashes?

good powder leases don't attach to the ski. Once that attach will pull the ski back at you in a fall and that will hurt like a bitch.

What you do is get a streamer, like these I believe, I just use orange flagging tape. Attach it to the ski, and stuff it up under your pant cuff.

When the ski released the streamer pulls out and leaves a trail. Even if it is completely buried it is usually pretty easy to find just swinging your pole thru to snow.

This is tough to write, but find a spot on your heelpiece where you can thread the leash around and feed the tail through the loop and pull it tight so it is "secured" on your binding make sure it will not interfer with your binding functions. try on the brake next to the heel piece or something depending on your binding it should stay pretty well. its a gamble but its better than wasting the rest of your day looking for a ski in powder or worse leaving it behind to find it in the spring.

just make sure you tuck that shit up your pants. i can't stand trying to dodge all these god-damned streamers while standing in line. some people leave that shit laying 20 feet long behind them. where the hell are they skiing? Alaska times 40?

they arent a problem if you just use the kind that tuck in your pants.

The ones that mess people up are the ones attached ski to boot.

Yeah , imagine tamohawking with a 5-8 pound 180+ powder ski...... with it attached to your body and a 2 foot leash.. FUCK THAT just get 30 yard orange tape and ski with them hanging off the whoel time and find your shit when you wake up from the coma.

Uhhh, I think you mean "safety straps"

Powder leashes (unlike safety straps from back in the days before ski brakes) are not meant to be attached to the body. Only the ski (most heelpieces have a hole where you can do this, use a separate tie that can remain on the binding and which allows you to remove and attach the streamer as needed). You tuck the fuckers up under your pant. Don't leave them streaming behind. When you fall and the ski goes flying, the leash "ripcords" out from under the pant, and remains on the surface so you can find your skis.

That's the idea, anyhow.

Safety straps actually attached your ski to your leg, Danger!

The other option is to crank your bindings up to 20 or so, so the fuckers don't ever come off! LOL!

Just to warn you powder leashes are just about as gay as snow skates, or whatever they call those short-asss skis these days....

Anyway to use powder leashes, wrap the string around your neck, get on a lift, attach the other string to the lift and then jump off the lift.

get some piano wire and tie it to your binding and wrap the other end around your neck so when you fall....death and new skis for me

powder leashs are gay

^ as you get taken out by your own ski as your tomahawking down the hill with your skis attached to you, not very smart buddy
