Powder video awards are a joke.

I personally liked Tight Loose and Vice Versa much more than Pleasure this year but I didn't watch the rest. Doesn't Level 1 win the movie practically every year?

Level 1 wins occasionally but historically MSP has won more than anyone else.
 
I think it's ridiculous that Candide won skier of the year. Sorry fanboys, I can feel your butthurt already... but he didn't do much last year. Ootd 3, and a commercial. K?? His career is winding down and 90% of his social media posts are "Candide kamera" reposts.

Sammy Carlson, Tanner, and Cody Townsend are all doing more than Candide right now.

Agreed, but personally I think all awards are a joke (besides actual competitions of course). Everyone will have a different opinion on something and I really don't understand the point of all of it. Almost all skiers ski differently and put out different kinds of content. Same with things like the grammys, everyone has their own musical style- besides pop artists- and how can you really judge which music is better than the other. Who decides all this stuff anyways?

Until someone consistently skis better and harder than Candide he should win every year.

It's for what the skier did during the year... Not what has happened throughout a skiers entire career...

If candide was injured for a season should he still win it because he has consistently skied harder and better than everyone else in previous years?

It was a readers pole dude. Candide's 3 edit came out early this year. still counts. Who should've really won skier of the year? Idk maybe sammy... but sammy cleared house with 3 other awards.

Who do you think should've won powder poll? cody townsend and julian carr were 2/3... should they have beat candide? IMO candide still wins, also have to note he wasn't asleep all year. He posted a vid from B&E invite that got like 1.8 views on fb. Candide posts vids on Facebook throughout the year that get 500k+ views.
 
Yeah from an outside view looking in, it's understandable to think this but after attention the event in person, it was quite the event. It really brings people together to celebrate the best in our world of skiing. It honors and picks out the best skier. Candide won the poll, that's why he got skier of the year and also he's still skiing strong and has so many projects he's still going to do.
 
Its interesting how a lot of the top 10 I had no idea who they were. I guess I just spend most of my time and get most of my skiing news from NS

Candide is still by far the best skier in the world the only other skiers touching him are Sean p, tanner hall and Sammy Carlson if you think any different well you are just wrong.. In saying that though I think we should start a petition to get Candide to film another proper video part who's with me?? GOAT and Adam Delorme .. Apparently their is a faction team movie coming out hopefully he had the closing video part and its next level amazing !!skiing needs more team movies like the forum ones back in the day and 1242...

I hope for this too, but I feel like because of candides age and previous injuries he won't ever be able to ski the same. The bar is set so high idk if he can get to that level again.
