Powder Skis

I am moving to Summit County, and I wanted to get your feedback on which powder skis are the best to buy. Let me know who has tried what, and what they thought. I appreciate it.
 
this is such an open thread, you need to be more specific, depending on you skiing style and such each ski changes! also put this in gear talk
 
Sorry for leaving the post so open. I am 6'9" 280 pounds, so i'm a rather big guy. Relatively experienced and pretty aggresive, with a fast learning curve.
 
really? that big? i'd suggest armada ants or something but they'd probably suffice as a park ski for you... xxl 194? i'd like to think that i have pretty good knowledge of skis and this is kind of stumping me. i guess just buy the longest, widest, stiffest thing you can possibly find.
 
i would hold out for a little while and wait for volkls 08/09 stuff to come out and see if you could get your hands on a pair of chopsticks, katanas, or even the kuros, those things look massive
 
Check out the Moment M1s and Garbones.
Also the Volkl chopstick if you want really wide and stiff.
EHP would be a solid choice.
Also, the praxis Big Mtn 120s or powder boards...

I'd vote for the biggest Volkl Katanas you can find. I think they make some rossi b-squads in a 190+ length as well. Maybe some 190 sumos
 
Moment M1 or Comi, Surface Live Life 189, Line Mothership 195, Scott P4 191, Scott Stunt 196, Amplid Teddy Bare would all be pretty good choices for someone your size.

but the solly rockers in a 198. their X lab in a 198. the big dps lotus. Moment M1 or the rockered version. Comi-Cazis. Dynastar XXL's in a 194 (supper sick skis)
