Powder skis

Im moving out west to Nelson B.C. and from what i hear its all about the powder, glades, bowls and cliffs out there. So im looking to buy a new ski and i cant decide between the B4 or 1 of the all mountain twin tips like the Seth Vicious.. what are your guys thoughts on this?

dynastar legend pro, a true full on big mountain pow ski, not a twin tip but really going switch in pow isn't something you want to be doing all the time anyway, personally i think its pretty lame anyway, your better off just given'r straight

^what he said. B4's will be good too for those deep pow days. Or you can look inside fat twins, like prophets, Maden'AKs, Volkls Gotamas or Sumos

i just picked up a pair of the made'ns... im beyond hyped. i used to ride the 1st gen pistols, and they did just fine in the pow... so either way, youll prob. be fine.

also the Armadas ANT's or JP vs Julien

its all about personal preference when it comes to pow skis. I personally like big stiff skis so im not going to get the seths or the maden ak's or the armada, if you like a stiffer ski look at the pimps, the legends, Blizzard ( watch out for blizzard its coming back, high quality skis). If anyone wants a insane crazy ski get the new stockli stormrider pro 201 CM

im going to be demoing the b4 i mite be selling my pistols and getting those, so im just gonna see if i like the stiffer ski better, can someone tell me the difference in the felling?

ive got another version of the pole dangle, its pretty funny too, gets cold when i do it on the lift tho.

-dynastarconcept *i hope thats the name*

Get a twin tip, I just got the Gotamas, they are going to be sick, im stoked. I got them because they are supposed to be pretty stiff, also get Fritschi freeride bindings and skins, its alot of money but you will own the backcounty then

i support the other guys decision of Maden'aks. they will be good in powder and sick in the park!

-Killa Cam

deffinately go for the fat twin man its nice out here but on days it doesnt snow you gotta jib and when you have a ski that can do both thats where its at

maden's are to chattery. go with the gotamas, or possibly the ANTs. a stiff fat pow ski would be sick for nelson. it would be so great for those fresh days. and just cut through the crud on the down times between storms. you dont have to worry about a park ski. theres no park in nelson.

Im RICK JAMES bitch

get the prophets

i don't want this to get out too far but i heard ninthward has sex with armada-Twix_182

or atomics, as someone said earlier, they're supposed to make your legs work hard.

try and support the smaller companies. the big corporations don't deserve your money. (volkl, salomon, rossignol, head, k2, etc...) ninthward has a good fat twin, but i would have to say surface's skis are by far my favorite as far as dimension and graphics. www.surfaceskis.com

(i sound like a salesman)

^^Mantras are total crap bro have you skied them? B4's are also crap, a totally dead ski. If you want a Rossi you want the new Scratch BC it is way stiffer than the B4 and a better ski. Your best bet around 100 mils though is the Prophet 100.

I just got this exact same set up as my BC ski. I'm super excited.

183 gots, freeriders, BD glidelite skins = $$$.

as far as pow skis, don't even consider anything less than 95 in the waist. You should give us more info about where you ski, your height and weight, etc.

I just got the seth vicious are my everyday ski, but those are sick in pow. Not as manly as the Legend pros, but they can still haul ass.

My two powder skis right now are Spatulas and Igneous FFFs. Spatulas are really fun in any types of soft snow. If you can get iggies they are worth it.

If you looking for a truly dope pow only ski, see if you can get an Igneous FFF, DB Tabla rosa, or one of the new capital skis. They just wreck pow.

if you looking for something more everyday that will work in pow, the seth vicious, gotama, mantra, legend pro, new fishers, made'ns, atomics, ants, etc, are all sick. Get a better idea of what you want you ski to be like (how fat, stiff, sidecut, construction, etc) and narrnow it down from there. With most fat skis you really can't go wrong.
