POWDER SKI SIZING

So im looking at the 4frnt crj in a 164 and im 5.7'. I know that is pretty short but the kind of skiing i do is that east coast tight quick turn skiing in the woods. Need some input on if the ski is worth buying at this size.
 
The 164 is really short. Being a rockered ski, the CRJ is going to feel like an even shorter ski. Realistically, it will ski like a 158ish traditional camber ski.

The typical rule of thumb is to size up. 180 & 188 are the top selling sizes for that reason. Remember, the CRJ is a very

soft, fun, playful ski and they are very easy to ski and throw around. Based on your height and what you want to do, I would recommend the 180 or 172 (at the shortest).

Nonetheless, you can't go wrong with 4FRNT. We were just at 4FRNT party last night here in SLC...great crew!

 
The hellbents are fat. Where on the east coast are you skiing? Is it just east coast pow...or do you make a lot of trips out west?

If you just wanted a solid all-mountain ski for east coast skiing ripped in light tree-pow, crud, and icy parks...I would recommend something around 100-110mm underfoot. Some good options in that category are: Atomic Access, Line Blend, Atomic Blog, Lib Tech Freeride NAS, or even the skinnier rockered Armada Halo.
 
The 181 Live Life with 110 underfoot would be real solid or the ON3P Wrenegade. Both would rip real hard for you. I'd definitely get a ski in the 179-189 range for length.
