hey guys whats happenin, hopefully if you clicked you can help me out here! been lookin long and hard at what pow ski i wanna pick up for next year, shops are ordering now so im trying to decide quick to get some pro form deals.

me = 5'8, 140lb's, strong skier looking for a ski that wont give out on 30ft drops, will blow through most chop, and is close to symmetrical for easy spinning and occasional switch landings.

currently own ARG's and alpha 1's for referance, been looking pretty heavily at a 185 JJ and the Magic J but cant find much info on the magic J. would pick up a JJ in a second but the softness of the tail worries me a bit, anyone have problems stomping with jj's? other ski's i've been considering are the 4frnt YLE and surface new lifes but i've since realized the new lifes are a pretty dead ski.

anyone got any other reccomendations judging by what im looking for or have any more insight into the jj, magic J, or YLE?

+karm to helpers!

thanks yo

YLE for sure, I'm pretty sure the true centre of the ski is -2.5 , which works out. Haven't skied them, but they look really playful

If you like armada the tst will work better for what your looking for. No rocker means it is super stable. But it still has the same tip as the jj for good float.

very true, i have personally not flexed the norwalk so that is why i didnt recommend it.

op the magic j is pretty much a jj with a different tip and tail tapering, very soft compared to charging skis.

TST isnt what im lookin for, need something more symmetrical and TST is similar flex to JJ, possibly softer.

think the magic J will be softer than a JJ? to correct i'm not looking for 100% charging, just something solid and playful that wont wheelie like mad

if you want stiff, look no further than the Rossi super 7. also if you don't mind the width, check out the nordica radict, crazy charging ski!

Yeh I'm 5'11 and I ride 191 Caylors, they are honestly the best ski I've ever owned not only are they an awesome powder ski they are so incredibly versatile. They are stiffer than most other BC jib skis, this really helps in crud they destroy it. On grounded they ski as well as my prophet 100s maybe even better, to put it into perspectiveI actually now use them as a daily driver. I'm on NS mobile now so I can't link you, but there's a more lengthy review on my blog.

s7's are too soft,

anyone got dimensions on the caylors?

and i just looked at the pettitor, seems like it would atually be a solid option! will be looking at more reviews..

benchetler seems like a really fun ski but it seems like they'd get blown around by big chop? gonna be in whistler next season and i've heard the chop gets pretty gnarly

I skied at Whistler from January through Mid-March rode Caylors most days had no problem with the crud they chundered through it.

Dimensions:- 148/120/140 at all lenghts next year dimensions are length dependant, I think the 191 is staying at 148/120/140 not sure about the 181 check the SIA updates

the tst is definitely not softer then the jj.

you cant have a symmetrical ski without that "wheelie" effect.

there pretty close but yeah the tst is stiffer, thanks for the help!

i do dissagree with the symmetrical comment, longer tail = more stable landing platform!

i found the new lifes quite dead mason, could you move em pretty quick in the trees? when i demo'd them i didnt have the ideal conditions to ride in.

If you can stay ontop of yourself, they're quick quick. The 194s were quite big, and KH has rather tight trees. I never found myself out of control,

Squad 7's coming out are sick, (flat tail, 120 underfoot). Super 7's 195 weren't too soft - just don't mount them too far back, that's when the issues happen.

Skied the Armada Bubba's in Jackson - those were super fun and felt stronger than the JJ.

I am on the jj this year and it is more of a playful ski than a charger. The tail is very soft but I have never found myself w
