Powder/all mountain ski options.

So, I finally have brought myself to ask advice. I'm not 100% on where to start. I ski Breck, A basin and Winter park mostly. I get a couple days in at Vail per season. I'm 5'11 and 175lbs. I don't ski a lot of park, and I have a set of volkl walls that I've been using for just about everything anyways. I have a few days per season on a set of black diamond killowatts with fritschi freeride bindings, which is what I am replacing. I am looking for a ski to take powder days, as well as handing crud better than the walls. I want to start hitting larger cliffs (20+ feet) as well as becoming more of a big mountain style skier, spinning off smaller cliffs and natural features.

The skis I have been looking at are a set of 2013 Rossignol Super 7's or a pair of 2013 Line influence 115. Both would be new and are in the $350-$400 price range. The issue is the Lines are only in a 192 and the Super 7's are in a 195. Are these too long for me? My walls are 176 if I remember correctly.

Any ski would be mounted with a pair of dukes. Touring is not a huge concern as I won't be doing any long tours, or I'll just suck it up.

With all that in mind, tell me if I'm being an idiot, or recommend me a ski and help point this kid in the right direction. Thank you.

4FRNT hoji and devastator kill it everywhere ( hojis dont do well in the park obviously) . check them out

The devastator seems like an interesting ski. But I see complaints that they don't float that well. Any comments on this? And I'd have to assume they float better than my volkls. Should I be looking in the 190 range for length? I've never had a rocker/reverse camber ski, nor skied any. So for length I'm really kind of guessing, but I see people near my weight preferring the 194 length.

I can't find them in my price range unfortunately. I don't want to spend $700 on a new pair of skis and I can't seem to track down last years online. My max is probably $450. I'd really prefer to be down under $400 though.

Also the new KYE big mountain charger/freestyle ski we will be seeing here soon

I've seen the yle and the crj. Both seem like good options. But right now I'm drawn to the devastators and the influence 115. Both have good reviews as an intermediate playful/charger ski. Both are in my price range. Both are rocker/camber/rocker. And I feel like both are going to handle cliffs/crud better as well as float better in powder.

Devastators are full rocker, NO camber.

How much should I let that affect my decision? between the two? Would the full rocker help to swing it around in the trees vs the camber underfoot? The influence and the devastators are the same weight.

I got a pm from a member who recommended Praxis MVP's. I can't find much on the ski other than one tgr forum which is 50/50 on the skis.

yes the full rocker will help make the ski more "pivoty" . plus the devys still do well on hard pack and destroy in the crud.

Yeah i would go devys but that's just me. The devys have something called reflect tech which let's them be full rocker and still hold an edge. You can let it affect your decision bases on your style. In a sense they are more pivoty. Also see which has a smaller trunig radius because that can be a factor as well.

I think the devastators are where I'm going to end up. The turn radius is slightly larger on them, but I'm confident enough in my strength to get them around when need be. I'm assuming I should use the recommended mount which is -5 back if I remember correctly.

I'll sell you my 193 Cochise's if you want a manly ski

otherwise yeah, hoji is awesome, devastator is pretty soft imo
