The snoqualmie park isn't really ever groomed anyways so its pretty much impossible to ski it on a powder day.

when theres 3 feet of last nights fresh pow of course u ski it! besides all that pow will screw the park untill its groomed.

Yes. i guess that's the obvious answer - you ski the fresh. How about 3 days after a dump? Do you spend your day looking for stashes, or stay in the park most of the day?

 
i only ski the park when the conditions on the rest of the mountain are shit. you have to enjoy the pow for the short time it's there.

 
yea if i lieved somewhere where it actually snowed I dont think i would be in the park to much. the only reason i go there is cuase everythign else is pretty boring.

unless the entire mountain is bullet proof ice...you should never ski just park...i think at most i ski maybe half and half...usually more big mountain/backcountry

 
Its all opinion based..The few days that my hill gets powder, I usually stay out of the park, but if some people want to ski that park on a powder day thats cool, more freshies for me.

there is no big mountain/backcountry in NJ. when i get to other places i susually dont spend much time in the park.

 
ski the pow...when everything inbounds is tracked...either hit the backcountry or go to the park and wait for the conditions to stabilize.

Powder in the midwest---haha...Everyday in the midwest is a park day, so when I go out west I spend the whole time finding stashes of pow. Even if it hasn't snowed in a week, im out there searching. But a dump always make the day a lot more fun.

Here's the real trick question. There's no pow left inbounds. 2 days after a 40 cm snowfall. How long are you willing to hike to get your pow?

This winter I regularily found myself hiking 2-3 hours a day in the quest of fresh tracks. Many other would build booters or ride park. It all depends on what mood you're in and how you like to ski. It's style to a greater level.

 
i tried going to the park after skiing pow all day cuz i wanted to try some new tricks on jumps that i didnt have to build and the landing would be soft but yea, no speed for the jump since it wasnt groomed, so all i got is you cant ski the park on a pow day
