Pow skis

allright NS'ers so its that time of the year again and after our first pow day of the year i need some new pow skis... so far i have looked at the moment ghost train x, the atomic Bent Chetler and the Rossignol super 7's, i am open to any other suggestions as well

As you may know, there are lots of pow skis out there that are designed to do lots of different things well. You're going to need to give more information about yourself as a skier if you want to get any kind of solid recommendation.

im 5'8 145, i've been skiing for 14+ and last year i skied 200+ days so i would consider myself an expert, i ski it all man from tight trees to open bowls but i want a ski for those 2ft+ days ya feel me

The bent chetlers or a solid choice i would think. There is also options like YLE for more freestyle or surface lab 001 are sick too because of their fancy bases that make it really surfy and fun.

So if you are looking for strictly pow skis just go to all the ski websites and check out their fatties. I would suggest something 125mm to 140mm underfoot. Take a look at the volkl ones and the line magnum opus

moment night trains!

haha i had the night trains but i sold them... looking to switch it up... has anyone skied the chipotle banana in anything deep I'm looking at those right now.

I was just browsing a couple ski shops tonight and the number 1 ski I picked up was the the new Bent Chetler. Love that spoon tech and the flex and weight was so perfect in hand. My dream ski for sure.

I had the pleasure of skiing a pair of prototype Kitten Factory Layzrblaydz today. Hands down most fun I've had on a twin tip pow ski. Super slashy, handled chunder later in the day, and so playful. Lots of good ski recommendations in this thread!

I would defiantly advise you get the BentChetler its the most funnest ski I have ever been on, they are good on the groomers as well, only downfall is the edges are hella thin it makes the ski much much lighter which is nice, but if you like to grease rails like I do, the consequences are a lot of edge cracks.

alright so the bent chetler is getting a lot of good things said about them... has anyone been on the k2 powbunga? i think I'm between the atomic or the k2 now maybe moment still? haha

Okay. What is your style as a skier? Do you like to charge or flip and spin? Do you ski switch often, or do you spend most of your time facing forwards? Do you turn a lot, or do you prefer straight lining?

If you do prefer charging over flipping, the Bent Chetler, and a lot of other models being mentioned, probably aren't the ski for you.

i mean yeah id say i charge pretty hard but i like to jump off stuff too... I feel like the bentchetler may be the ski and that spoon tip looks so nice
