I am looking for a paor of pow skis for next year. Ive got Chronic 177s for all mountain but worried they wont be enough when in the deep stuff.

Looking at Prophet 100s, Pistols, Viscous, Made'ns

Im 6'1, 205 so will the flex of the skis make them a bitch to handle under the weight as notice most skiers riding these on here are coming in at 180 tops

Since your a big guy you should either get really long pow skis (like 189 maden's) or stiff pow skis (gotama's). You could get away with 179, but I'd be looking for a 185+ if I were you.

You're almost exactly the same size as me. I'm on 189 pistols and 191 JP vs Juliens, and that works... I'd say a 186 prophet 100 would be pretty ideal for you, though.

i don't think Lineskier101 ever knows what he's talking about.

i dont think you'll like prophet 100's there weird...go all the way and get 131's there fun on all ski runs

I wish i was a gangster

Had thought about the Prophet 130s but how responsive can a snowboard on each foot be?

How do you mean the 100s are wierd?

Also could i get away with 179 made'ns as the longer skis are getting back to the old days when i was running 200 saloman super force skinnys and used to be a real bastard in the deep especially towards the end of the day.

Would 189 seem a world of difference from the 177 chronics? any experience?

remember, with a twintip, and a more centered than traditional mounting position, twintip skis feel a lot shorter than traditional skis do. the tail alone probably takes 5-10cm off the effective lenght of the ski. the longer ones will have more surface area and therefore will float better and be more stable at speed.

Life sucks, get a fucking helmet

atomic big daddy's

stiff and twintipped, good for pow

100's are stiffer and have a metal plate in them, they feel a bit heavier than the 130's....the 130's actually respond very well...and they are more like 1/2 of a snowboard...if not less...

^^haha spatulas...u gotta be shitting me! go with mother ships or prophets...

I wish i was a gangster

id also suggest a gotama. they are SICK skis. the tails are really big too, for sking switch in pow, ect. they are fat, stiff, and should be perfect for pow for a guy your sized. plus they look tits

i looked on google but all i could find was 3D Animation porn-sxmarty6

Thinking maybe moships ti or gotamas as can get pretty good prices. may even think about off loading the chronics if they are good enough all mountain-wise

I'm - 6'1, 105kg (230lbs i think, and no im not a fat bastard!!)

and been riding 2005 186 Pollards. I don't ski a huge

amount of powder but the Pollard is a great all mountain

ski and floats well enough on powder under my weight..

You cant because apparantly you dont have the imagination to ride them. You have to feel the ski, trust it and use it size as an advantage but dont fucking call them snowboard's , you prob havent even seen them in person before.

2006 Volkl Mantra's are great..they are the next generation of the Explosiv

130-94-113 dimensions

great on everything

I'm 6'1, 200 and ride a 184cm and the Volkl reps told me not to go to 191cm unless I was only doing big mountain/super fast all the time becuase the skis are stiff and a 184 Mantra rides as long as a 190 Gotama

a great ski to check out

^yeah that would be a good choice too.....not much of a twin tip but if you're only using it as a pow ski it would be money

I personally like bigger skis cause of the turn. It's more like a snowboard turn on the bigger skis like 100mm+ underfoot. You should try a couple out before you buy, man.

Just so you know, Surface skis are going to make a big boy, like 139-110-137 and will come in 170 and like a 190. They should be worth checking out.
