Moved out to CO for college..lookin to get hooked up with a pow ski for the season because my AR6's will not cut it when the snow starts dumpin..im from the east coast so never really looked into pow skis..

I ski a lot of park but looking to get into some more backcountry. Looking for a playful semi soft ski thats great in pow and shreds everywhere else..also that I can send some jumps with and jib around if I want.

Height: 5'6

Weight: 125

What are some good suggestions for pow skis for me?

the funnest ski that ive ever been on is the atomic bentchetler. ive jibbed leen toos on it, slayed pow, ripped groomers, sent it off cliffs, mashed some moguls, crud, even had them in the park after a pow run and hit jumps. (would stay away from the rails obviously). and not to mention im from the east coast and still love themm

I got on a pair of ghost chants last season, I would NOT go for those...Im on crjs, Bentchetlers were real fun as were bibbies. The new Opus also looks like it could be a good ski.

Yeah dude the opus is ridiculous good on groomers and hardpack. If no one told ya, you would have zero idea you were on a pro model pow ski. So sick.

I'm 5'6 so whats the best length range..like 170-178ish.. i was thinkin either the Salomon Rocker 2's in 170, the Armada JJ's in 175, or the Rossi S7 in either 168 or 178...

I'm currently on 161 AR6's so I'm thinkin low to mid 170's would probably be best right?

what you think is best for these options?

178 Night Train is what you want. Perfect for sending jumps and jibbing. For something completely symmetrical and more playful, go with the 176/186 Ghost Chant.
