So the clymb has the a lotta rockets in a 190 for $300 right. I'm from Michigan and only get to ski powder once a year and I figure this might be a solid investment at the price. I'm an advanced skier, 6'4, 190 pounds. I like to charge hard and go fast and jib over all sorts of things. Just not sure if this will be too much ski for me with the 140 waist? Any help would be great. I do enjoy a wider ski in the park (98 waist) if that makes any difference

Maybe I should mention that I know nothing about park skis. The clymb also has high society FRs with a 122 waist. Maybe that would be a better fit?

Definately go with the high society's. My friend loves his. But they only have front rocker and are very soft. But if that's your style go for it!

Thanks. I figured 140 is too much unless you're neck deep. I was concerned about flex, being a bigger guy I'm not a huge fan of super soft skis. I prefer more of a mid-stiff flex

140 is too much. My Icelantic gypsys are 125 underfoot i believe and they are perfect. Def dont need wider than that

yeah dude, 140's are massive! especially compared to a 98 width which is like a Mantra or something (btw pick up a mantra for your next one quiver ski, especially for Michigan's varying conditions).anyways, if you are looking just for powder then the length of the 190 plus the 140 underfoot might not be too bad as the length might give it a bit of a stiffer feel, plus bouncing around in the powder is heaven on earth!!

my suggestion, the 190 height will be just a bit shorter than you but maybe just a little less under foot and a touch stiffer (especially cause that's your preference anyway). if you only get one day of powder a year, then definitely rent a pair of demo powder skis from the base of the mountain and usually they will let you stop in a couple times to swap them for another size/style/make of demo skis, just show up with a 6pack of PBR for the rental shop dudes!

good luck man!
