Pow not park

I'll take a pow day over a park day, any day. In fact, for me, the definition of "park day" is when the snow sucks everywhere else on the mountain. I'd rather ski a good mogul line, or some sweet trees, or some nice corn than park ANY day of the year.

POW = why I ski

park = when nothing else is good

I very rarely have the option to ski pow, thus I will say pow.

But if there was pow everyday, I would probably divide my time half and half. Half park, half pow. I just never get to ski pow thus I must always take the opportunity when it presents itself.

i wish i had more pow near me... if there was, I'd rip pow lines all day everyday. i really have no other option but to ski park all of the time.

Don't hate but i really don't see what is so great about pow. Iv skiied it quite a few times and I can't say i found it a ton of fun. Yeah it is super awesome for some runs in the morning and its a good time for a bit but after a couple runs I just make my way over to the park and ski there. Maybe its the skis that makes the difference cus im on park skis but when i ski in pow i dont find it super enjoyable. I personally perfer jumping and sliding rails over skiing pow and im just wondering why everyone likes it. Not meaning to hate at all just wondering. I personally perfer that feeling u get when u come out of a flip and stomp or when u do ur last spin out of a rail and know you just did a super clean trick. Thats just me tho

@OP
1) No shit sherlock.2) Please stop making these threads people. They don't make you look more core. The longer park rats stay in the park, the better.

mostly whistler. I went out last year for the olympics. skiied 10 days. Got dumped on first 5. Also head out there every march break and ussually get pow days then too. Its alot of fun but i get kinda bored of it after a couple of runs. Its also something u hav to look for too. U gotta be snappy with getting runs in or people eat up all the good lines fast. Maybe whistler isnt a good resort for pow. I thought it was could be wrong

Park. I'm sorry if it's not "real" skiing, but I could still outski 80% of the kids on this site. I would rather have tons of fun in the park than ski pow 100% of the time. I like a mix of both, but if I had to choose one and only one to ski, it would be park.

Whistler can be AWESOME for pow. It's all about the surfy feeling for me, I just love to slash turns, or jump off small cliffs and get the awesome landing in tits-deep pow. It's awesome. You want to land flips and shit and get a good feeling from it, try landing them in pow.

I like all aspects of skiing. Park and pow. I try not to get hooked on one aspect. I really don't see the need for a heated and hateful debate and argument on this topic. Just enjoy the skiing. Enjoy the pow, park or what ever you have to ski. Enjoy it with friends and be thankful for what you got.

hahahaha. This thread sucks. Seriously is this a question? Powder is THE greatest thing on earth.

Like I give a shit about what people think about me on the internet. Its the internet. This thread sucks. I'm just trying to prove my point that theres no need to be hating on all aspects of skiing like this thread has.

Now, now, Theron, you don't make friends by trying to be skiierman...

And who's hating? I'm pretty sure people are just stating what they like best and maybe giving a few reasons why.

LOOL i hav its way to hard lol. I gotta say it really is retardedly hard to land tricks in pow. Plus if u fall u get soaked. lol. After you take a few jumps in it u realize how retardedly good people like the nimbus crew are to do those massive tricks and land switch.

What I meant to say is I don't really care about my reputation on a internet forum. And I do recall some hate on the first page. Back to the point, Anyways. Be thankful for what you get to ski on. Not A lot of people have the opportunity to ski epic powder glades and trees. They take what they can get.

I'm just fucking with you, I'm just STOKED that the last couple of days have been pow days for me. I know i'm lucky as fuck

Ilive on the EC but I go out west a few times every yearwith that being saidI WOULD DEFINITELY CHOOSE POWSo chill but you can push yourself to try bigger lines

I live in northern Ontario, so yeah I don't get to ski pow a lot, usually a handful of times a season. Don't get me wrong I love skiing pow, it's probably the funnest thing you can do on skis, I just like all the other aspects of skiing too.

Pow > park. It's mainly that my pow tree/booter skills are far better than my park abilities so I have more fun with Pow, but on average days its nice to go 2/3 steeps 1/3 park.

110% agree pow feels like you are flying it is the most freeing, exciting feeling ever. park feels like to much work but its prob because ive only been at it for two years and I am greatly lacking.

he expressed an opinion that actually added something positive to the thread. unlike you.
if anyone here should spend time fucking themself, it should be you.

I've been to Utah and I'll admit the waist deep super dry and light pow is just amazing. Although not all snow on the northern east coast isn't perfect, It def. has it's days. With that said I cant wait for the day when I'll need a snorkel to go skiing

its kind of funny how people bitch about too much pow in ski vids though...i know, watching and doing it are two different things...we all ike variety in vids...but i think pow is still fun to watch..i am always jealous...thats it thats all...more beers more cheers

POW!!! Parks for the days you aren't able to ski powder...just back up entertainment. Skiing in powder is aaaaaamazing.. good for the soul :P But I respect people that say park, cause thats what they like and as long as people are having fun with what they're doing, I don't have a problem with it.

most kids where im at would pick a perfect park over a perfect pow day. i personally wouldn't, but it just depends what you ski more. if you live and ski keystone every day you'd love to have a powder day to take a break from the park. if your at a resort with decent snow but not much of a park a lot of kids end up dreaming about that perfect rail or jump more than some more tree skiing. thats whats up
