Potential enough for an online ski site.

im pretty sure you need to take ns away from everybody, to see if they actually need it, or if they dont. thats where the power is. where the fuck do you really stand, alone, without your entourage.

Well said Doug!

Newschoolers is a fantastic site, as a former moderator of snowboard.com i realize there is a huge difference in the two similar sites. Newschoolers is very supportive of amateur projects, even more then they somtimes should be. ( which is amazing) I have seen incredibly informative articles on small unknown companies who otherwise would have almost no exposure what so ever. Newschoolers gave newmanadmin the opportunity to have a press release and interveiw on the front page which we are ever so gratful of ( thanks again doug)

Im not sure the entire story behind this feud but i demand all negativty towards EM to stop immediatly. there is no need for this. The riding in the jibopoly trailer is spectacualr, everyone involved in that project is so very talented and there is no need for the hate.

"if you make a movie and dont licience music and claim your a real company when you arent, dont expect people to take you too seriously until you put out something that people agree is a good product. Make it for fun dont worry about selling it."

I was disgusted at this comment, as a fellow filmmaker i take offence to this comment, this is a personal attack towards anyone who is trying to break into the industry, who the fuck are you to say they are not a real company, they are just as much as a company as poor boyz or lucas films ltd. Sure they dont have as big of a budget or as much exposure. But have you seen other large companies smaller movies, take for example theory-3. Photoplay is one of my most anticipated movies this year. I think jeff has really grown into this wonderful niche of action sports and is one of the very best ( if not the best) freeskiing documentarist. The first movie i saw by him was focus, at the time i thought it was amazing, also i was young at the time and was so stoked to see a movie with local riding, but in reality it was a sloppy movie in some aspects( i mean no disrespect, jeff is a great man who is selling me a camera). The point im trying to make is that everyone has to start somewhere and it is completly disrespectful to cut down somones attempt to do their own thing.

I hope atleast a few people read all of this and take some of my arguments into consideration the next time they feel the need to critisize somones hard work.

peace.. try and be nice kids.. and for christ sake.. hug your mom

Doug, you are one fo the few rational people left on NS... the reason i havent climbed the belltower yet.

PBP was there when maybe a handful of people had a new idea for skiing- people that saw a yet undiscovered potential in what appeared to be a dying sport. You think there was no risk in that? You couldn't hope, in a million years, to do anything remotely as "revolutionary" or "groundbreaking" as what they (Johnny) did back then. No, you will never ever have the impact on skiing that they did. Believe me, from someone who saw it from those days, PBP did a phenomenal amount to put skiing where it is today. They deserve tons of credit and then some. They also deserve to make money off of it, because 'it' is in a large part here due to them [PBP].

I buy PBP every year without even asking. They have earned that loyalty and they continue to, because, like it or not, they are still at the top.

I'm going to have to go ahead and agree with Bob_dole here. Grow up a little. Next time you feel like ranting, do it a little more constructively, and don't say such ridiculous things.

i hope em supports this kind of behavior and from what i hear they do thats why they make there movies. to have fun and show the pure joy of skiing keegan did that for fun i think the animals can fend for themselves when two skiers go skiing on a melting ski slope even though that already excelent patch of dirt for a pansda to stand on could be used for that.

i agree with this cat. pbp is real fuckin wack. after 1242 they make real crummy movies. i spent lik 30 buks on ten and was real fuckin pissed that i didnt lift it. im going to start a cult it called the pbp boosters club. anytakers.

I liked the trailer, like EM's message, and totally agree with Ethan's standards here. I think it's awesome that so many am movies are coming out this year, even compared to last year, the scene is blowing up. Given this expansion there's bound to be mad competition and similar ideas and plans to be different. I'm just not impressed with this thread. Don't get me wrong - you guys were all pumped to have an article on ns about your movie and had high hopes, but the way keegan handled it just wasn't sweet. When you are genuinely mad and want to change a situation, don't go around calling people names. That shit's for grade school. peace
