Posterior tibial tendon tear - anyone ever have it?

Severely twisted my ankle landing on the springs of the tramp at MHSSC back in June. Jackass doctors misdiagnosed it for 8 weeks as a badly sprained ankle until I demanded an MRI which revealed a longitudinal tear of the posterior tibial tendon (and tenosynovitus).

I have no idea what the recovery timeframe looks like though. People that fully rupture the tendon need tendon transfer surgery but since mine was less severe it sounds like 6 weeks non-weight bearing followed by physical therapy.

I really hope I don't miss the whole season as I missed all of last season recovering from a radial shaft fracture surgery and at 27 don't have many years left.

Send some good vibes my way I could use the support.
