Post your summer jobs

Concrete tech for an engineering firm. Basically quality control. 21 an hour for basically anything from 50-80 hours a week, with company food and housing. Best part is, laid off soon as snow hits the ground.

exact description of me last summer. except I was 19 and had 2 years of college. This year I am trying to find a job but have had little luck.

12 bucks an hour to ride shotty on a boom truck and deliver steel beams, columns, ect. all over PA.
its mighty fucking easy considering all i have to do is sleep in the truck, get out, unchain the beams, then guide them into place. it does require walking beams at pretty substantial heights without safety gear but i'm so pro at that shit.
so basically i deliver steel beams, bitches love steel beams...

Working for Statistics Canada.

Hostessing / possibly waitressing morning shifts at probably 8 or so with tips

and I could be doing fuel runs for my dad and my uncle's company. I figure filling up a tidy tank and driving dad's truck for up to 5 hours every two days at 15 bucks an hour is a pretty sick supplemental income.

Then come august/september, im enlisting military

engineering/construction dept for CenturyLink, not really a summer job because its my full time job, but basically get $22/hr to mess around on Excel spreadsheets all day. plus a month worth of paid vacation. woot woot

Just got confirmation on working at the farmstand again this summer. Now, I know an NSer showed up to pick up their mother's veggies becasue he was wearing Saga boardshorts. So anyone in the Burly area, come to Paul Mazza's farmstand on Poor Farm Rd in Colchester. Nothin like picking strawberries, raspberries and blueberries.

Oh, and hopefully getting paid $9.00 an hour again. Last summer was the first summer I worked there, and got paid a dollar more an hour than even the girl who worked there for 8 years. The manager was a manager at a grocery store I worked at for my first job, I made the minimum wage of $7.53 at the time. He retired and is now the manager of this farmstand, got me the job, and hooked me up. It goes to show that even being a good worker in a shitty job like stocking shelves in a shitty grocery store can pay off and benefit.

Jelly of you guys making $20+ an hour

My family rented an island with a bunch of people in the summer and we go to Mazzas to get crawlers for fishing. Good times.

Summer student working in HR at the head office of a transportation company. $14/hr and most of my time is spent filing or scanning stuff. Friday = treats day so I'll be heading into the weekend with a massive sugar high. Not too bad at all.
Unfortunately its only for a month so I'm going to need to find another job for july/august.

ebay-ing and working at the local marina (barely) is how i make $ , besides working for my pops once in a while.
