I always see threads about planning a ski trip, but I have not recently seen a thread on where people are traveling this season or dream trip. I will start:
During winter break I am going to Japan for about 17 days - one week traveling around the main island and the rest of the time skiing in Niseko.
My dream trip was Japan, so I will have to think of a new one.
(P.S.: If you are in Niseko during this time, PM me. Also, while I am in Japan I will be posting on my blog: https://newschoolers.com/web/content/readblog/member_id/106844/).

have a pow day at mt. baker, then go and ski park at keystone for 2 days, then fly to retallack and stay there for a week

I plan on puting as much money as i can into my saving account so once i get out of college, ill work over the summer, get a fly ass Subaru Forester and bum around. Hopefully i can get some friends and rent a place in colorado. ]

just livin the dream

I am going to Utah January 5-10. I have been on snow for the past 5 years and live in PA and the largest mountain I have ever been to has been Killington. I am super excited to get out west!

Im heading to Jackson hole in march, I was stoked about that, I wish I could fly to japan or chilly but dont have anybody who has enough money.

I'm hitting up Vail this January. Going to be with my ex girlfriend and cousin. best part is its free for me!!

From Avila to Whistler (across Canada) stopping at all the hills which are worth it.. + towing a skidoo for some BC

UT for 4 days in january. and hopefully another couple weekends out there...

dream trip? eh, thats a tough one, heli skiing for sure. um whistler, and definitly Japan. but ide probably be more interested in the country than the skiing, haha

The Japanese culture was one major draw for my decision to go to Japan. I am going to be updating my blog while I am in Japan and I will definitely have a little bit on the culture.

Pretty much my dream trip was last year winter break out in utah. It was early jan and there was at least a foot of fresh powder every day, it snowed like 6 feet total during the 3 days I was there, so sick

Super B sunday=sick Damn good storm cycle

Last year was pretty much my trip of my lifetime, so far any way To the Don Sheldon Mountain Hut in Denali NP AK The place was stunning. There is a tr here if your interested

This winter is a week here with the better 1/2 so that I'll be sweet Fly in trips can be a crapshout especially above treeline terrain

Japan would be sweet. op there is a poachninja forum check it out if you haven't already

My dream trip is getting out of the summer heat and making turns in South America but that would require making more $$ in the winter which could require less skiing. it's cool to dream though

Heli, that's the dream trip, so something like Interior / coastal B.C., a few days of drops in un-skied territory with blue skies, endless views, and all that. Yeah.
Other dream trips, Kamchatka, Iran, Morocco, the Caucasus, Hokkaido, I think it will take a lifetime and plenty of visas to cross off that list.
Realistically, mostly sticking to the Alps with a trip or two to Western North America. So still not too shabby, albeit expensive.

ski my homemtns for the next few weeks and hopefully get some freshies. further trip plans are:

Jan 19th - April 6th in JAPAN

travel around a bit and ski at least 1,5 month in Niseko, Hokkaido. Perhaps ski some other areas and travel around a bit and of course spend some time in tokyo.

and of course i will report on my blog too. check it.

peace

retrace the trip in sno what start rippin it up out west for a few weeks, shoot down to new zealand/austrailia for a few, then move on up to europe for a month or so

This year I'm hittin Schweitzer for New Years, then whistler in March.

To make it my dream trip I would quit school and just bum around interior BC and Idaho between the two.

being a skier from jersey all my life and occasionally skiing vermont, last new years the week i spent in whistler sealed the deal for dream trip, especially since i had a boner going down spankys ladder for the entire half hour it took me since im a fucking noob haha.

This year i got the colorado and rocky mountain pass, along with 10 days at cb. As for trips i'll ski the east over winter break, i got a buddy in crested butte who said hed hook me up with some sled skiing, we're hoping for a trip to jackson, and also have a friend with a friend in montana for possibly some more sled skiing, this is gonna be such a great season.

3 month in japan skiing deep pow and sick pillow lines

4 months in AK ski touring/heli skiing in the chugach mountains

2 month in norway ski touring

2 month iceland exploring and to see sigur ros playing in there home country

Not trying to disrespect anyone from Iceland, but now would be a great time to visit Iceland because 1. the exchange rate with be very favorable, 2. rates at hotels and ski resorts should be cheaper than before because of Iceland's economic meltdown, and 3. flights to Iceland are fairly reasonable now (well at least from NYC).
