i know there have been plenty of threads on this already, but theyre all cluttered up. march 14th SAT scores are up

i got

570 reading (ouch, only 72 percentile)

800 math 99percentile perfect score bitch!

730 writing 98 percentile (67/80 multiple choice, 12/12 on the essay)

overall 2100. im satisfied with it, it was my first time taking it. but i need to get my reading up, that score is in the shitter for me
 
Where are you planning on going to college? Those scores can easily get you in to a lot of schools.

i got like a 1550 or so when i took it my first time. second time i did worse
 
ill throw mine in there from 5 years ago to get it started for us old timers (haha).

1430/1600I'm not sure why the writing section even exists. It's too subjective with grading essays and schools never look at it.
 
i dont know, somewhere around new england though. these scores alone wont get me much without my gpa, which is in the shitter. its a 3.46 weighted right now and like 3.02 unweighted. but freshmen year it was like 3.5 unweighted and has slowly been declining, and its not getting better. ive gotten 2 D+'s this year and a D

im going all out last quarter though i decided. gotta cut down on NS!
 
a lot longer, and in my opinion harder

i've taken the SAT, but not recently/for college apps

i got a 221 PSAT though, so i'm hoping to at least match that on the SAT
 
you thought the sat was harder? i thought it was a lot easier. i got a 192 on my psat haha. maybe its cause that morning was pissed i had to take it
 
1220 is my score on the parts that count, Critical reading and math

not bad, want to get close to or better then 1300
 
you sir, make me feel stupid. and for that, im not going to post it. i did do pretty decent on my ACT but unfortunately west coast schools dont like looking at ACT's for some reason
 
ha,

yeah, i had a shitty morning the day i took it too, i was really surprised that i did as well is i did. i stayed up late doing homework, then couldn't sleep, then went to school, took the PSAT, and went home immediately after it because i felt like shit...

yeah, my parents put a lot of pressure on me to do well on it because if i qualify for national merit semi-finalist/finalist stuff then boeing (where my dad works) will give me scholarship money

it's impossible to pay attention through the SAT though... way too long...
 
Alright first of all you beat my score, second of all haha your a junior in HS im guessing that sucks. DONE WITH HIGHSCHOOL IN 3 DAYS.
 
searchbar. and most colleges dont give a fuck about writing. so a 570 is going to hurt more than you would think.
 
yes, the reading score is horrible and in my high school classes our teachers told us that if we want to concentrate on anything it should be the reading and/or math.

shit, im agreeing with drew... i think i should be preparing for the 4 horesman and sea of fire.
 
i am all set. i got a 680 on my reading section.

the other threads aren't cluttered, you just wanted attention.
 
lol ted thats fucking awful. i think my best was an 1150 or so for teh 2 that count. and 15xx for alll 3. both times i got 420 on the writing lol, 6/12 both times haha
 
I took one in december maybe? Maybe september before college apps, I got a 2170. 780 reading, 710 math, 680 writing. It got me pretty far though; I got into Cornell, mcgill, University of British Columbia, UVM, and University of Toronto, and only got rejected from dartmouth.
 
november (or was it december?) 07 when i was a senior i got 720 math, 500 verbal haha, 560 writing (which is BS). didn't think much of it then. don't think much of it now. SAT =/= intelligence.
 
1920 and 1800 on PSAT, taken twice. and awaiting my SAT next month. my target score is 2000 to 2100

but its pretty basic french and lots of non quebecers take french so clearly it wasnt a true statement just felt like writing in, albeit shitty, french

we usually use nous pouvons but we did learn that on can also mean we. and nous ne comprenez pas, i shouldnt have missed the nous there haha
 
Thats a complete lie, whoever told you that is 100% mistaken. All colleges in the US take the ACT, and there is only one college in the US that doesnt take the SAT (its in upstate NY, forget its name, its small and artsy).

Schools do not prefer one test type over the other, they are completely held equal across the board.

Just doing my part to dispel rumors that make my job hard.
 
what he said is an easy sentence to understand but what he was saying is that if we spoke in french then other members wouldn't be able to understand what we were saying, which they would because a lot of people on here speak french
