Title says it all.

Made that setup a few years ago in a little over an hour. 1 jagged concrete-filled rusty basketball pole, 1 tree stump as the front of the rail holder, 1 jackstand with the basketball pole only resting on it, some carpet pad with water on it, 1 pallet for the jump, some 2 by 4s, and some nails.

My skis took so many coreshots on this abortion of a setup. Gotta love that 8th grade Washington DC trip hoodie and pajama pants too. That only adds to the sketchiness.

this was in my backyard and its literally a 12+ft drop off of an old falling apart deck to flat .

My setup itself is actually pretty solid and incredibly adaptable and transportable -

Though my past half assed attempts at building rails haven't been ideal.

Also had a down rail that was secured using a large amount of bricks, wasn't too pleasant when I fell straight into the edge of one of them.

The one rail I built securely I ended up putting a ski straight through and splitting the PVC.

In my youth I built this ramp for a 1/4 in my back yard. Took 2 years to build, invovled cutting trees down in the greenbelt across the road, and dragging them home by night, and borrowing scarp wood from construction sites, I only used the ramp & quarter pipe once due to thaw, my biggest regret about the whole thing was it wasn't better documented. This photo doesn't really do it justice

Oh, I forgot about this one circa 2009 when we got called off school for being too cold out.

We did a sketchy around the house snowmobile tow in, launched the jump straight up, and landed to flat on like 4" of hardpack. Many shinbang cases were had.

I'm looking to do something similar with the steps off of my deck! how exactly did you do it? Just stack pallets and plywood on the stairs with some mSnow?

these pics are from the early days of the Castleton State College (VT) campus park, in the early fall semester 2007... pretty sketchy but no injuries, and by spring time it grew up to include a bigger more legit ramp, some different rails, an a-frame, a box, and the next year they built a wall ride.664832.jpeg

something like this

I just stole one of my dads pvc pipes and ran off into the woods with it, no drop in, lip, or anything securing the pipe.

**Steeze*Whiz**s attempt at some 'challenging' rail puzzles. The first one, you were supposed to ride the green tube, kink onto the lipped PVC, then transfer over to the end of the black DFD. The second one was an attempt to slide the tube and then 50/50 through the wheelbarrow handles. Sometimes things just don't go as planned.

Classic spring sunday from Leland Kirton on Vimeo.

The backyard setup itself is in no way sketchy.

two summers ago, I stood on a cooler and attempted to push my way through a rrail that´s like 2.5ft off the ground. I also built a rail with the scraps I had around the house, being a bent 2x4 on top of some flatter and fatter boards with 10 separate segments of pvc put next to each other with varying heights.

haha that ain't mSnow. Thats just plastic fencing I believe. A friend of mine went and bought a shitton of mSnow, and I think it's a waste, waay to expensive, and its a bitch to fall on

well don't waste it on the landing... shits expensive.

It actually is nice for a drop in and ramp though, because you can actually carve off it, so you can put the rail to the side and hit something urban style.

Our first one was actually pretty good, before I made a legit one with Msnow.

Here's my little bro hitting the first one. Simply entertaining:

Last summer I put a PVC tube on a slide and stepped onto the rail to slide it, no drop in and rocks holding the tube in place...

i once skied down wood chips with lube allover them as a drop in and baby crushed onto a ladder tipped up. it was quite a success.

i know they guy who shot that video and can attest that he was almost definitely incredibly baked haha

yuck.

You nailed it. This is definitely the worst drop in. You have to hold onto the tarp ramp, and start sliding once you stand up?? then hop from a down slope to a flat rail? Then slow down the video because your ride was so short?

0/10 would not hit.
