Post your most busted ski mounts

Hello all,

I'm planning on doing a write up of the worst ski mounts to ever grace this website. Initially, I planned to trawl the forums for mount screw ups but came up mostly empty handed. So, in lieu of that, I'm making this thread to ask for images of the most heinous mounts you've seen. That could be a time where the shop completely blew your new skis, or when you tried to mount your own skis and ended up putting two toe pieces on one skis. Either works, but I'd prefer images that you've taken of your own wrecked set up. And I'll include image credits in the article of course. Let's see em!

Asked for them 1cm from the center line that I measured on the ski, they did it 1cm behind the standard midsole line, they re mounted it but only gave me store credit and told me it’s my fault because they always go from the rec line and I should’ve stated it as + whatever so there’s nothing more they could do for me.

See my thread from last season where REI mounted my poachers +9 from recommended. The heelpeice was on the center line it was great.

Most shops won’t go this far. Usually it’s store credit for like half what u paid for the setup.

Not busted but I recently had a shop list my height as 5’1” instead of 5’10” and the dins were set to 5 when I picked them up lol

A shop got my height and weight correct, 5'10 and 150 lbs and dins we're at 6 if I remember right

I asked a shop to mount my JJ's at -2.5 behind dead measured center and the shop took that as -2.5 behind the rec line. This is why I always mark with tape and an arrow pointing to the edge of the tape where the exact line is. Never gotten a crooked mount tho.

Only mount my techs boofed in 2 years was a line outline with pivots and left ski got mounted crooked(we don’t carry line) so our shop payed out of pocket and got bro new sticks

Whoever did this definitely forgot to put the feet on both sides of the jig
