Got some Dynafit ST Rotation 14s mounted today. Just gotta cut some skins and ready to go! Daymakers did me well but this will be much better!

Decided to bail on g3 skins after my last few pairs gooped up and would leave glue on my bases.

Also wanted to try some with better glide. Stoked.

If you use these at the crag and I see you, I will make fun of you.

Yeah dude being able to communicate with your belayer when you’re out of sight/hearing range is totally super lame

bought them mostly for BC skiing anyway

I've climbed thousands upon thousands of pitches of both rock and ice around the world and never once have needed a radio. Rope signals are entirely adequate and the less useless gear dangling off me the better. The consensus on Rocky Talkies is that they are significantly overpriced and marketed specifically to the yuppie look-at-me crowd. But hey, they probably look "cool" to your friends, clipped right next to your hexes and your PAS.

Lmao. I've climbs thousands upon thousands of routes as well. These are useful in many scenarios. Rope drag completely eliminates rope signals. Wind eliminates communication. They have their use.

Overpriced yes. Not useless.

Keep that elitism to yourself dog

Never climb with iFlip - noted. Thanks for clearing that up right out of the gate

Safety surpasses steeze in climbing no matter what and if you are as experienced as you say you are you should know that

If you need a walkie talkie to feel safe I pity you. Do a little research. Read some climbing forums. Rocky Talkies are to climbing what Ruroc helmets are to skiing. We could make the same exact argument using Rurocs and safety and no one would hate on the idea that someone would laugh.

No hate was implied. I merely said I would laugh. And I would. Lighten up.

Bought one of those tape to aux adapter things. It works but makes a loud enough clicking sound that I keep think my blinker is on. Might add a stereo to the list of truck items.

I've used them in the past but I hate them when driving long distances where the radio frequency that normally works becomes an actual station and you're constantly trying to change frequency.

I forgot about that, you're right that's pretty annoying and you don't have to go that far to get interference sometimes

I always just buy the shit ones from best buy. If they don't work well I return. Last one lasted 6 years. Went out last week. Took me about 9 tries to get a decent one.
