I don’t even know sound gear (or whatever it’s called) but I know this:

1) I’ve only seen Røde on mics for podcast, etc.

2) I’ve only seen a sennheiser shop in the middle of Sydney CBD, Australia (which is ridiculously expensive area)

Didn't even bother googling Sennheiser, after that

Bro, I live in Finland and even I don’t have any reason for worry. The only place where the war is literally at the doorstep is Ukraine. Also, between Austria and Ukraine there are multiple Nato member states, so I’d say the war is very far from their doorsteps.

lol this. Horrible shit for ukraine but by god russia will not touch a NATO country. They would get decimated and they arent stupid enough for that.

I know the history of Europe well enough to realize that it doesn’t have any relevance with what’s going on today. Most of Europe is in Nato and Russia will never get to Germany without having to turn the entire world into nuclear dust. You’re delusional to think that you have to worry about any physical threats.

I’m not worried about getting harmed it’s just not very pleasant to have a war right next to you

Time to get a new beacon. Remember, safety third

For the first time in my life I actually paid for a season pass instead of working for it. Bgus Basin next year! Might add Indy Pass as well.

The thing you hope you never need to use.

I get what you're saying but if people have beacons, then they do need to use them. You definitely need to practice with them, including digging and rescuing every year!

Sure. I'm just not going to that level myself. Getting buried in an avalanche is not my cup of tea. I'm claustrophobic as it is!

Bigtime stoke. Spent about as much as a complete set of bindings tho

I love binding freedom! I've mounted a few hundred of them now! you get good at it!

do you have proper jigs? if not get them, if you dont have a buddy, get jigarex

Don't have jigs, but I do have a keen eye for precision work and I'll be mounting to existing holes. I'm hoping I can get away with using the drill guide block in addition to re-verification of the existing holes with paper templates. I even went as far as re-drawing paper templates in a CAD software to have finer indication markings when printed, luckily the hole pattern for 22Designs is a dead simple 1.5" spacing between all holes and Tyrolia was easy enough to draw onto a grid with 0.1mm resolution. If I wanna get really paranoid about precision I may even try to get dimensional verification from someone at Jigarex.

Plan is to put inserts in my skis that have holes for both alpine and telemark so that I can swap back to alpine when I'm needing a recovery day, and so that I can swap my expensive telemark bindings onto multiple skis (as well as multiple mounting positions). However upon inspection of my skis, I found what looks like a mounting mistake from the original alpine mount so for those holes I may need to try to find a shop that will let me use their jig for pre-drilling, there is a bit of hole overlap that should be no issue with the larger size outer threads of the inserts, but I need to ensure that my hole locations don't wander.

Realized I lost my damn ski bag in my last move an hour before my flight.

Got to frantically run to the ski shop to buy a new one. 170 bucks later and I now own:

Blowgus. do urself a favor and get a tam pass instead. Tamarack employees are so much nicer and they have sick parks. Bogus liftees, upper management, and park crew are all assholes especially the park crew. They’ll pull your pass for basically looking at them wrong

got 110$ off and picked up some shifts for this so hopefully it’s worth it. Definitely a upgrade from my mtn hardware shell that’s older than me.

Someone did try to jack my skis there last Wednesday...

I’ve been using a vest for my entire fly fishing career and feel like it’s time to switch things up so I bought this. Comes in on Monday. Hopefully I like it. Gonna have to change some muscle memory when it comes to grabbing nippers and forceps, etc. but stoked for a more minimalist set up rather than having my vest so cluttered messy.

I think I have 5 fishpond bags now I swear nobody makes bags and stuff like that better than they do. I have most of the thunderhead stuff which is all like modular, it’s super sick. Great purchase for sure!
