Also bought these super marked down. Doubt I'll be able to justify keeping them so I guess they'll become birthday/christmas presents for my second cousins.

Yeah, my two year upgrade thing was over on March 6, but I just heard about the deal at Costco the other day so I drove over there and they hooked me up. $49.99 for the phone, free car charger and case, and they waived the activation fee that Verizon usually charges, not to mention he transferred all my shit from my old phone to the new one. I was pretty stoked haha.

Well I'm not talking about the clothes that he would wear to work (he's a lawyer, correct?), but rather just around town. For example, Gucci, Dior, etc. are considered to be high fashion brands whereas Nike, The Hundreds, Supreme, etc are streetwear brands. I was more-so referring to his clothes, not so much his shoes, but I do see your point about his shoes.

Those brands aren't really about clothes and shoes for themselves though. Like there is nothing interesting about a pair of Nikes no matter what colourway you get them in, it's less of an art form and more of... I dunno, a collection thing? No I am not into any of those brands at all. I can't understand for the life of me why you'd pay that much for a basic T shirt that says "supreme" on it.

They're actually $710 retail, I bought it from the company that makes them, only way to buy it really unless you find one secondhand or something, it's not like they stock them in stores you have to get them made for you. That's actually pretty cheap - if a designer name made the same jacket with the same quality leather and hardware etc it would be over $2000 guaranteed. Both my other leathers cost way more. All Drew does with that company is take classic designs, slim them down so they're modern, use the best materials and workmanship he can find, and then sells the product basically at cost. It's seriously like the On3p of leather jackets.

Anyway I got this today, deadstock I guess since it's new but from the fall 03 collection. Might get another one in black. Pretty limited as to what it can be worn with but I needed a couple more mid layers.

Isn't it embarassing for you to express opinions you know very well are completely uninformed? Kind of like someone posting "sliding on metal bars with skis is just stupid". Anyway it retails for a fair bit but being deadstock I got it for a lot less... less than a supreme shirt costs, actually.

Right, this is where we encounter the 20something in postsecondary who thinks he has reached the pinnacle of wisdom and has nothing more to learn about anything... If the skiing analogy didn't work on you it's pretty much like walking into the moma and going "What the fuck is all this shit? This isn't art. It's just a bunch of nonsense." A lot of people would do that but they're ignorant.

Anyway, wear whatever you want and I will too.

its like the G suit of long sleeve shirts? is it cotton?

anyway on your last point. well done my good sir, well done.

REAL SKIING, ON REAL MOUNTAINS. that is all.

So repeating the analogy if you walked into the Moma, went up to a particularly weird (to your eyes) piece of art and basically called it garbage and a mistake, would you expect someone who appreciates that artist to come up and explain the artistic merit of that piece to you? If you're going to come in loudly and proudly declaring self-righteous ignorance the reaction is not to try to nicely inform you why you're wrong. Maybe if you'd said "I don't really get this, what's the idea here" you'd get a different reaction. Not in this case though, I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything so I wouldn't even if it weren't obvious that you've pre-judged the issue.

Read the last part of that post, I'm not going to explain it to you. And only partly because it would be a lost cause. When I started actually caring about clothes, I could not for the life of me understand Rick Owens or anything that was that far out of the norm. You start by appreciating better-executed versions of things you're familiar with, then gradually you get to a point where you can see the benefit of different silhouettes, textures, material drape, treatments and proportion play. I can't really tell the difference between a good wine and a really good wine, but if I spent enough time with wine, I would be able to.

I definitely see where your coming from, and I meant no disrespect, just wanted to see what you were into. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I'm not sure which, I don't own any Supreme just because of the hefty price tag, but I would have to say I would not spend $350 for a Gucci wallet, but I would spend $350 of some Michael Lau Janoskis.

As a guy who buys shirts that say supreme on them, I can offer some insight to their appeal. Supreme represents more than itself as a brand, if you've seen their t-shirts, and most of their clothing, you'll notice that the majority of their designs are borrowed from other recognizable logos and classic articles of clothing. Collabs with artists and musicians are another part of the appeal, they appreciate cultures outside of their own bring them together under the name supreme. Not only that but their clothing is quality and fits my style well.

I'll probably grow out of it eventually, but for now, I'm enjoying supporting a brand that continues to introduce me to the things they consider "supreme" and also looks and wears well.

Yeah I get that. I guess the only way to put it is with that stuff,

it's not really about the clothes (because cmon there's nothing really

interesting about a standard cut t shirt), the clothes are just a symbol

for something else. Which anyone can relate to, I mean the only logo

tees I still wear are my Joystick ones because I really like where that

company came from.

Every post of yours I've ever seen is always condescending. Don't you ever have anything positive to say? Or would that hurt your e-badass reputation? You try way too hard to seem better than everyone else, yet half the shit you post on this site is insanely idiotic. Please, get the fuck out.

JD, that shirt seriously looks like something a mechanic would use to wipe oil off their hands.

The leather jacket is cool... if you ride a motorcycle.

Round 2... why can't people self examine.

Man, I'm not going to convince you of anything and I have no reason to want to, so this is not productive.

almost every post on this page is someone bitching about someone else bitching instead of posting something they purchased.

get your shit together and stop getting butt hurt because someone thought that your purchase was dumb or even worse you are upset that someone thought that someone else bought something dumb.

i bought this on steep and cheap today, rab makes good shit
