ah now i follow, i thought you were saying the runner itself was longer, theyre all standard sizes, but my understanding was the 2.1 is cut slightly different, not "longer" but shaped a little wider in the toe. wide in height wize, not actual width. either way, i predomently use my skates for reffing, so im either cranking it out full tilt or practicly standing still. i never lace the top eyelet either. keeps it comfortable when standing straight up, but enough support and stiffness when i gotta get going.
since day one ive only ever been able to wear bauers and grafs. something about everyother skate just didnt feel right. the supremes give me a chub though, perfect cut for my foot. everyone i know is on a 9k or 11k, but they just dont work for me.
ever heard of bungee socks? theyre kinda like ski sock idea. knee height with some padding in the front. i picked up a few pairs for reffing and no more lace bite. one of the best investments ever.
also, i heard from a reputable source, that under armour is releasing a skate in the very near future.
