Bit the bullet just now on these at a ski shop, mainly between these and the rustler 10s, they had a dictator 3.0 but the sidewall had a little shot in it. Figured I’d try a normal fairly stiff ski before going up to a lot metal, maybe I’ll get them for the resort but these should have a kingpin soon for touring, stoked.

Meanwhile, wherever this guy is, a nordica ski ruins another life...

needed a new speaker for the beach/camping

Damn, yeah they seem pretty solid for all around, kinda have some rise in the tail for landing switch but also are stiff and have some nice rocker. I’m sure the other guy is referring to durability? I have seen my friend break his 110s cause he likes to go hard kinda in all conditions, but as a touring ski I don’t really plan or hope I’ll be dropping 15-20’ into hard pack. Luckily I have a family member who goes way back with my works Nordica rep so I maybe have a fallback if they break.

Got back into video games over the lockdown and decided to cop some new gear. Got lucky and grabbed an elite that wasn’t price gouged and the headset was on sale. Stoked for a fully wireless headset. I’ll still get smoked at war zone though.

So fucking stupid companies sell tents without the footprint these days.

Agreed, plus usually their own proprietary footprints are just the same material as the tent floor. Tyvek is way more durable, wayyy cheaper, virtually the same weight, but is loud if it's flapping or anything.

He followed up with a thread asking about the worst skis too I’m pretty sure

Lol explain?

It was a while ago, but when I used to do Freestyle at my local hill I rode a pair of enforcers, and I snapped the ski's tip within a week of opening day.

The rest of the year I was riding a Elan twin tipped ski that weighed so incredibly much and were awful.

didn't mean to offend anyone...

Been self isolating by going out to the desert and shooting...a lot...decided I ought to bolster my cleaning supplies accordingly

do you still have to add that thing to your boot to use those?

I see the thing you’re talking about now, at least on their site my boots aren’t listed, my friend who’s pretty smart with this stuff and is gonna mount them has used a demo ski with kingpins this year and has their alpinist binding and never saw him use them for his technicas. Gonna be interesting the first few days, minor weekend snow I’m blows into to 5” of windbuff, then maybe a glacier (kinda) ski Memorial Day that could be crusty, gonna be stomping them around the carpet testing that release lol.

I think you’re thinking of the dynafit beast, not the kingpin. you have to drill this horseshoe shaped thing into the rear of your boot to work with the beast.

Kingpin does still have this, might require a heel one too for some bindings but idk, kinda weird we still don’t have it all universal but I can see why not.

I see. I'm not totally familiar so correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that adapter is only needed to use those specific 5 boots, whereas I think the adapter for the beast is needed for all boots.

Yeah I’m assuming I’m all good, kinda weird cause I don’t remember the clinic from work this year explaining that for the kingpin, then again that a-hole from Völkl was probably telling us to sell a Lupo with them and nothing else. Glad I know all this now cause I’ll likely have a pair at some point.

these felt like skating through molasses because they are not only really soft, but the formula is low rebound. If they were 95a that would actually be fucking sick, but that doesn't exist

Vokey > any other wedge

Good wedges....but I've always been a Cleveland guy. Never got into the vokey train.

Similarly ...never got into the pro v1 train. Theyre okay balls. Won't go out of my way to play one.

Never liked Cleveland. I will say Pro v1s are a tad overrated. I play NXTs, admittedly. What's your handicap?
