heres my stuff. or most of it anyway, the top ones are older the lower ones are newest. the one with the big ear flaps is my latest. huge earflaps can be wrapped around face for warmth, and it has a full snow leopard fleect liner. which looks sick.

Can somebody please tell me how to make a bill? what matertial do you use for the inside part? and whet pattern do you use anyways??

a bill u can just cut it out of some old hat, or use like cardboard or a milk carton

This is what I've knitteted so far. Im not that good cause I learned over christmas vacation. I really want to learn how to make bills, but I just can't figure it out.

what pattern did you use for all your hats? Knit a row, then decrease? or maybe knit a row then decrease twice?

The brim of a normal hat is made of thick plastic. Heres what itd do, use an exacto to cut it out of the hat, its stitched on so it will take time, but one u get going the stitchin should come apart pretty easily. Hat brims are bigger than brims used in beanies so IF u want to make it smaller, go to the woodshop in your school, and use a band saw to cut it in half. U shoul dhave the teach do it because the brim is curved and the cut needs to be curved. (unless u know how to use a band saw) After that the edge will be jagged so just use a rotary sander to smooth it down and then, well i dunno shit about knitting, but jsut sorta put it into ur hat

i have so much trouble making hats i dont know how to read a pattern but in my experiments i allways try crocheting a chain then looping it on to itself and going around adding stitches like i extra per 3 regular or something but it allways gets fucked up, how do you people do it?

 
yeah I tried using a canvas panel and it works perfectly. But still, what's your hat pattern?

thanks everyone. but brims arnt that difficult. just use the plastic from one of those big ice cream jugs or something. but the key to makeing good brims is to add stiches the further you go out, to keep it relitively flat. and as for patterns, i never use um. and i cant make anyone stuff right now, im way to busy. over summer/fall, i definatly can.

don't have time to make many hats right now, busy with school and skiing. plan is to knit like mad this summer and sell a bunch in fall/winter. i'll probably post about them then.
