depends on where I go. each place has different perks. If I make my own, its just usually salmon and tuna nigiri
my friend's place has some divine toro nigiri right now, but it packs in at like $50/pound so the eating is sparse. speaking of toro, i ate at a place in downtown seattle with a heavenly toro roll. My god it was delicious. Same with some of their other rolls, one called a tarantula - like a common spider roll, but considerably larger, more crab, and fucking spicy as hell. lovely.
unagi is fantastic, same with maguro, salmon, uni, and shit
california rolls taste like shit.
cant stand my sushi with wasabi. just nasty.
im too soft on my sushi eating habits. spend way too much of my non-existent money on it.

if anyone goes to hawaii, do everything you can to get some fresh ahi. fuck the rice, if that stuff is fresh, you just need some soy and wasabi. last night i had some stuff, it was the belly meat of yellowfin tuna. really good. different texture and taste, but good.

bluefin toro, yellowtail, sandfish, surf clams, salmon roe, snapper, and these next three are very hard if not impossible to find in north america, and the last two really take balls to eat, but Basashi is really good. its horse sashimi. Odori-ebi, aka dancing shrimp. If you ever get the chance, try it, its crazy. and shirako, which is like rocky mountain oysters, only, much much more terrifying

I just started eating sushi- im a total sushi noob. There's this place near my house called Sushi Land- and it's one of the conveyer belt style places. They have really good prices and from what I can tell-- really good sushi.
Most of the people in there are asian, and so I'm guessing that means it's probably legit. I think it's really good anyway. So I just ordered (for me, my bf, both of my rents and my bro), 4 orders of california rolls, 2 orders of tuna rolls, 4 orders of the house special roll, 3 orders of the spicy tuna roll, and 4 orders of shrimp tempura.
Most of the rolls come with 3-6 rolls per order, and the tempura comes with 2.
Anyway, the total came to 27.00- what a great deal for 5 people! I don't know if this will be enough- maybe it will be too much- we will see.
The whole point of this post is, I love sushi, and i recommend sushiland.

shit I forget what its called. eal, avacado and cucumber and something.
and tuna, yellowtail etc.
usually I sit at the bar, and just tell the chef to make me whatever is best.I have had some really good live scallops, black cod.......I dono a lot of stuff.
