Looking to get some prints to add a bit of character to my apartment. There's so many good ones, so post your favorites and why here.

I like this one because 1) Sox fan, and 2) it just reminds me of America in the 30's and 40's. I like that - I wish I was around then. Life seemed much simpler back then.

Again, something about it is just so American. Blue-collar guy, you can see the wrinkles on his face and dirt on his hands. I like the fact that everyone is looking at him, too.

By no means do I know what I'm talking about in terms of art and stuff like that, I just like these. So if you have a favorite post it up and explain why.

I posted this because it reminds me of schooling the young scouts about the wilderness, scoutcraft, and life in general.

Dali is cool, but its a bit too much going on for me. I do enjoy trying to comprehend everything going on though.

I saw a Dali in an apartment this past weekend...it had swans standing in a pool of water, and they were reflected by the water and looked like elephants. I'll find it and post it.

Rockwell is the best at putting character into the people of his paintings, that is why i love him.

a prime example.

northboone, thanks for that. I have seen that before, and I like it alot. Spot on with your explanation, also. There's something so familiar about the people in Rockwell's paintings.

Oh man..there's too many good ones. I think I'm just going to buy 5-6 8"x10" prints at a time and create a mural of sorts of all the prints..rather than spend $30 on one big one.

Thanks for all the ideas, guys - keep them coming.

i remember seeing a poster of it at the ns office. it was this little kid with public enemies instead of that bag thing

This one helped me get over my fear of the doctor's as a wee lad. It also reminds me of the time we took a field trip to the Norman Rockwell museum in 2nd grade and some idiot kid just reached down and ate a handful of grass.

My grandparents have a few of these throughout their house and they bring back memories of when i was young.

especially this one:
