no i wore the black and green ones for years before FT came out and i have them for parts, i bought the cherry red and yellow ones at a ski swap for $12 the other day (more parts)they are mint and also have the aluminum buckles, so i am going to drill them out and put them on my konflicts so i don't have to worry about breaking anymore of my plastic ones and keep the plastic ones for spares when the metal ones inevitably break. when you love your boots you make sure you have spare parts, and when your a ski bum you would never pay 25$ for a buckle.... just being resourceful you could say.
