thats not event he right picture anyway.. I think its the picture of that "pound that dylan_$ grew" that I sent you guys earlier, forgetting that I was just about to psot this
Even if I had other cars it would be so sad because there are so few in the world. I guess the people who own them are happy because it makes theirs more valuable
A lot of people that bought it originally hacked off the wing and took the cone off. Kinda like the split window Corvette that was only made for one year people punched the window out and took a hacksaw to the bar that split the window.
Yes cause a Google Image Search will prove everything...... my dad owned one, and a lot of people took the wings off. It wasn't until the ones with wings became rare that when people began to restore them that they would put the wings and cones back on them.
Just went up to page 12, if so many people do it you think there would be at least ONE picture on there. Also, searches for 'superbird "no wing"' and 'superbird "no spoiler"' returns no results.
You seem like a nice enough guy but you have zero credibility and you contribute virtually nothing.
I do know this about the Superbird compared to the Roadrunner though. The Roadrunner from the same year that the Superbird was that the Roadrunner could actually get better 1/4 time and speed when compared to the Superbird. Until you get to 90mph the cone and wing don't help at all.
"The Superbird's styling proved to be a little extreme for 1970 tastes (many customers preferred the regular Road Runner), and as a consequence, many examples sat unsold on the back lots of dealerships as late as 1972. Some were converted back into 1970 Road Runners to move them off the sales lot."
