I disagree. Either you have it or you don't. Just walk down the hall at any art program and notice how only one or two kids in every class doesn't completely suck.
 
well yeah, but it takes time to refine what you're good at. it takes time to understand perspective and angles, and balance, negative space, using your tools. it's obviously matters whether or not you have an eye for it. it's still irrelevant to the fact that that guy was being unreasonable to the reason this thread exists in the first place.

Dude, I didn't even notice that until you mentioned it. I had been looking at the page so closely the whole time I didn't take a step back. Thanks for pointing it out. I did as best as I could to fix it up but it still looks a bit funky. Here's my final version of the drawing along with a couple other drafts and pieces of art.

I just realized i spelled independent wrong in my final entry... What a fucking retard. Im changing it as i type this on the train. Hopefully i can get a picture tonight or tomorrow before the contest is over.
