POST YOUR ARTWORK HERE!!!

Just drew a couple animals within the last week or two, I like the elephant a lot more - I spent a little bit longer on it. I'll be drawing some more animals soon too.

Tell me what you think!

made this tank for social studies class, we were supposed to make an image representing world war 1. i kinda just went for it, here's how it came out:622541.jpeg

This is an old drawing i found that I did on the back of some physics notes. Kinda cool I guess, blind 2 scissoring.

It's from like September, but it's sort of inspired by the Shredsauce character.

both were from looking at photos on my laptop. The day I can draw like that from my head will be a great day. I prefer just creative craziness when I don't have something to look at. For example, the other day I had a sub in spanish class that let me and a friend of mine draw on the board all class:

the panorama on my phone messed it up a little bit

^click on it to see the true weirdness... haha

sorry for dub post.

I like that deer a few posts up too! I would recommend shading the darker and only the darker shadows for that style of sketching.

I know it's not amazing, haha. Just a doodle that is somewhat NS related, so i thought I'd post.

Yeah, his positioning is kinda awkward because he is supposed to be scissoring for like a blind 2 but it came out weird.

i think it works well with his face (which appears to be purposely goofy-looking)

and it made me laugh. certainly not bad art man. people need to stop going for the typical perfect drawing because while i do respect incredibly accurate art i also think inaccurate art is interesting

thanks man, and I agree, I will get around to posting some of my actual work not just ski related doodles (laughs).

i agree completely that art should be interesting and creative, because after all, it's not about just skill, it's about standing out and being unique. (same with skiing in my opinion).

These pathways are an empty roomSealing loud noises within its iron and cement

It's all talk and no catch for him

It's all talk and no catch within

He could count on one - oh well

And he can't keep them close

But he carries a mirror everywhere he goes

One step inside doesn't mean you'll understand

In your world he's slightly off tempo

He has the guts to say he told you so

Even if he has to do it by telephone

Or collect call from overseas

thanks man, i really appreciate itposted this one in another thread but might as well post it here as well

Don't tell me about love

Love is an empty corner table in the restaurant nobody quite remembers

Somewhere between the shade of rocky cliffs and boundless oceans of beautiful waves

Love is a place nobody ever got out of in one piece

So who are you to call me incomplete

You've been writing with the wrong end of the pen

Wide eyed at the mixed signals it sends

But isn't life just eight billion sheets of paper and a desk covered in rust?

So tell me where does that leave us...

and who the fuck stole all the ink?

i wish haha

i can't sing for shit/i can't play the guitar (which would be the obvious instrument of choice to put my writing to)

Start doing rhythmical poetry and then proceed to spit hot fire with those dope lines. But seriously, I could imagine that poem in a tight hip-hop beat and concise rapping so easily I can hear it. Keep it up!

funny, i've experimented with making longer lines and more rhyming (works better in rap)

and i've even recited them faster in my head visualizing a rap or something like it....

i'd have to say for that type of stuff my only inspiration/the only type of rap i'd ever like to get into would be stuff like what Grieves puts out... look him up if you don't know who he is.

seriously dude you should look into make your stuff into screen prints, its perfect for it. or alternatively make a graphic novel haha

super sick ^^ i feel like a shitty artist posting after that but oh well. This is a portrait of my girlfriend i did in pencil

Still trying to draw, I normally do photos, flickr is in sig... So for this class I have we're gonna do a screenprint via the emulsion process, which is apparently similar to printing from film and using uv catalyzed resin at the same time. So I've got text, when I do that the transparency has to be flipped so the text doesn't come out mirrored right? Aka used the way it is in the photo, flipped over.

The cursive font was a mistake, it looks bad now that it's there. But it's there so whatever.

Also that pen drawing is sick.

Just pull a bright eyes/connor oberst or however you spell his name. I wouldn't say he has a great singing voice, but his lyrics are super good so it doesn't matter.

yeah everything has to be a mirror of the final product. is that all you'll be printing though? cos it looks better when you layer stuff

We're only doing 1 color, or one screen for a few color inks if you want. This is like my second time ever doing this. What do you mean by layer?

That's good I like it. Are those completely freehand? (I.e. you doing them without photo ref, penciling, or tracing)

okay so basically, see how you have the drawing you've done on the transparency? when i did it what i did was i took the transparency, made a screen then made prints with it. then i took the transparency and added more shading to it (this was a portrait of my face btw, so imagine a pen drawing of a face with a bit of shading) then made another screen with that and printed over the originals in a different colour. because the ink isn't opaque the original print shows through and becomes darker so you get a layered effect. i'd love to show you my final piece but i don't have it atm unfortunately. you don't have to do it exactly like that but when i said layered, i meant using more than one colour so that it's not just an outline.
