POST YOUR ARTWORK HERE!!!

aight so the biggest issue is that your drawing what you think you know, not what see.

heres just a few examples. im not being a dick, im trying to help you see your mistakes. ill just point out a few, but maybe itll help you see the others and help you see them in drawing further down the line. im doing this cause you definitely show potential man. here we go...

i can guarantee you that shadow on his leg doesnt lay that flat, or that the hay bail is only dark in that bottom left corner.

his left hip kinda rounds outward awkwardly and his left leg curves strangely. his right arm is really short. that should address SOME of the awkwardness someone stated.

the other big thing that any Drawing 1 teacher will hammer into your head is "darker darks." generally speaking there shouldn't be any spot on the page untouched by pigment. and the darkest mark you made is probably at the level where most of your midtones should be. this is almost impossible to achieve with just your standard HB pencil.

feel free to pm me if you see any value in what i have to say. goodluck and keep it up man!

heres a drawing i did last year.

DISCLAIMER: i suck at photography, and the lighting in my house is horrible right now. also im way better at drawing now than when i drew this haha.

trip post. im gonna work on that drawing now and try and get it to a photorealistic level. unfortunately i no longer have the composition so that probably wont go well

boom so many posts in a row.

mixed media: gesso, orange acrylic, and charcoal.

emphasis was on mark making and proportion. this was an in class project directly after the one i posted before this. so it was super tight and detailed to loose and gestural. a lot of fun though. i'm somewhat happy with it. i hate the skeleton and the top of the jug though.

This looks really cool. Sort of reminds me of the cover for "knife man" by andrew jackson jihad. Maybe it's the same colors or... Idk. Good job. Looks great.

I was bored last night and I found some pastels laying around in the basement. It was my first time using them, they're a lot of fun. The colors they produce are dope.

What kind of pastels were they? Oil, stick, pencil?

I just got into using pastels this year and I really dig the saturation you can get out of them. Haven't done anything very cool though, gotta get on that.

They were sticks, and I'm pretty sure they weren't oil either since they were chalky. I'm not positive though.

Thanks. It was rejected by the event manager because the figure was "too white". The poster being used for the show has a poorly designed logo instead of the rapper. smh

I know this isn't really that impressive, but its the first picture i ever drew (first picture i was ever really trying to draw well, not just doodling). I did the whole thing with a #2 pencil which was hard, and i have never had and drawing classes or anything

^I can't tell if it's just the photo but your whites are more gray then white. Other then that it looks real nice.

Scanned in some pages from my vintage-y style sketchbook. The pages are all handmade paper, giving it such a cool look.
