Post Whats on your Skmind

Would these be good pickup for $500CAD? Looking for a park/all mountain hit ski. Somewhat worried due to the top sheet being a bit mangled but also read good things about these skis (Revolt 104).

ngl any mainstream ski like that is gonna be just fine for what it's described as. sometimes you might not like a specific ski but they're basically all the same from the big companies. so it comes down to how it looks. and that ski looks retarded.

I didn’t downvote you but that graphic is one of my, if not my #1, all time favorites ever

Fingers crossed I can find a cheap flight out to SLC mid-march. Got a week break from school that week, and it's been too damn long since I've been out west. Plan so far is to rent a car and drive up to Driggs, pick up the gear I left behind, ride Targhee for a few days, then head back down to SLC for the rest of the week to see the homies there and ride Alta/Bird.

This was a new learn last season. Tips for improvement? Second go. Ever. Now realizing the importance of core strength.

just bought beat volkl revolt 104's for $260 as an east coast park/daily ski. love the rocker

a while ago I encountered a pair of mint Season skis (don't remember which) for $300 but wrote it off because I assumed they were really cambered and stiff

Now i'm reading the review of the Kin and I'm wondering if I fucked up

Like SofaKing said, just keep doing it! Just bring your feet up and behind your butt to avoid catching your tips.

I found a free packet of Phantom Glide wax in my living room that I received from a rep last winter and I’m contemplating using them on my next pair of park skis to see if it holds up.

Anyone have thoughts on that stuff?

Something like it comes out every few years and never catches on for a reason, even the reps have that you'll still need to wax after using it

Went back to the store they had em at, yes they were Kins and yes I kinda fucked up. But the Revolts are gonna have lower swing weight, more clearance for swaps, and be way easier in moguls. Only thing is that they'll struggle on east coast ice where the Kins would probably be fun. It is what it is.

Want to make a lil edit of last season but there would be literally two angles, dad cam and next knuckle. All of it would be grainy and low res. So demotivating to make an edit that will be mids anyway with that kind of footy

who cares it's fun to have an edit from each season to look back on

I'm a very competitive person by nature so to push myself to be a fuggin beast I'm going to challenge the biggest nuts at my local to a game of slvsh in the hopes they call some silly shit. The idea being I don't want to be a loser and at least give it a go. This work for anyone else? My mountain isn't no Alta or whistler but we got some gnarly hits too.

everyday your competing against who you were yesterday to be a better man. you could challenge them to slvsh if you want to establish connection but the competition should be against yourself and you should be hyping them up to be the best they can and in turn they should do the same for you. like i bet a hall and hunter hess rarely battle it out when they ski

skied a neveplast setup at a local hill for a preseason event and it was actually pretty fun. but man does that stuff suck to fall on

Honestly I feel like a better bet is trying to hang with people who are only a couple steps above you.

If you're a clear runt then you don't feel pressure to throw scary shit because you just have that role. But if you feel a sense of not wanting to be left in the dust by your homies' progress, you'll nut up and try stuff you can do but were always too scared to

if it was the kin than ya you fucked up, but there other skis are ripping all mountain or pow sticks so honestly you messed up no matter what

I don't like skis with a lot of camber so I would probably prefer R104's anyway with their long tip rocker.

I wrote off the Kin because of its camber and only was interested when I learned it was not stiff.

its tight sidecut and long effective edge would not be my cup of tea in moguls. Knowing what I know now about them, I would have bought it because of the convenience of local pickup, but I don't regret spending less money overall on the Revolts

Well that’s a wrap for 23/24. 177 days. Last day here in Valle Nevado was all time. Park was still firing and so I clocked around 12 laps with a few 3s to close it out. Got a couple of days to kick around Santiago before I head home and get back in the gym

why does everyone rail wawachusset

i can't speak for others but wachusett is just really busy (and kinda seems to take itself kinda seriously) compared to how small and flat it is. i'm not a mountain snob, i can enjoy the hell out of a small mtn, but i'm not down to sit in long lines and pay pretty handsomely for a tiny flat place. i haven't been in ages
