If ski areas really want people to start using public transportation options to get to the hill, they need to drastically increase the amount of lockers available and stop pricing them as some elite members only thing. I think about taking the $10 bus up to bogus on weekends but never do. I hate driving the road, and gas and vehicle wear and tear probably makes the bus a financially incentive option. But I need space for my things. A spare layer, my lunch, another set of skis for when it gets tracked out, spare gloves, etc. Give me space to put all those things while I’m skiing and now the bus is a much more welcoming option.

I have only been taking the bus or shuttle to eldora for this season. I just leave my stuff under a table in westwing, but then again I only bring my shoes and some food. If I were to bring extra skis then I would def need a locker

Don’t know what took me so long to get hellbents. Just kills everything.

Also almost lost them the first day I used them. Shoutout the homie who found it

Id prefer ski resorts start fronting the bill for transportation expansions as well and road improvements. They're ultimately the ones driving up skier numbers and creating congestion much like the Cottonwood Canyon resorts. But that costs money that they aren't willing to spend.

Incoming yap:

Got my first legit powday today @Jhole

12 mile drive that took over 1hr ✔️

1.5hr delay opening lifts because of avy control ✔️

Crowded as FUCK ✔️

But fr tho I get it now. The one run I took where it was legit waist deep fluffy fluffy light powder the whole way down was absolute EUPHORIA. Would I deal with all the crowds and lines again? yea probably lol.

Not looking forward to going back home right when mid atlantic hits full melt down spring mode.

Hollywood lines with other patrollers are the most fun. Guests were LOVING it. Its pretty wild to me that we were able to ski pow on a weekend from 9 to 4 in Colorado and there still was plenty of shit left to go around. Indy resorts rule.

I usually ski alone for maybe half the season but this season I've skied alone for like one day. Today I got frustrated with my friends and went off by myself and was reminded how nice it can be to ski alone sometimes.

One thing was I found some sweet looking trees, untracked. I decided to stay out because it looked like I should worry about tree wells and my friend got caught in one yesterday. How do you ski deep trees or other sketchy stuff when by yourself?

location tracker on phone so they can at least find your body without searching for hours.

I've been in the same predicament since my brother doesn't usually ski all day.

need advice on cork sev. I think I am sending it too flippy and not popping hard enough?

Whats the next steps here?

Lone-wolfing is sometimes the best feeling ever but I had a really gnarly experience at Brighton once. I got blown-up on a hidden traverse path that was covered by wind-drifted snow and it sent me feet-first into a tree well thankfully. I called-it on the day after that. It is good to have eyes-on partners in deep snow situations however. I've become a fan of skiing with avy gear in bounds.

flipping too much because you are afraid of letting the rotation come naturally. you look like you know exactly how it is supposed to be thrown but are panicking and forcing the flip instead of just trusting the axis to bring you back to feet, or at least thats what I struggled with when I was learning them and did kinda the same thing you are

Found a zone at eldora yesterday that was surprisingly fun. Great spot for a pow day tbh, 5 min lift lines and empty laps it was awesome

its plus 14 out and all of my coworkers will not shut up about how nice it is and how they hate the snow and this has been the best winter ever.

I cant help it but hearing shit like that puts me in a foul mood. And worst part is nobody is concerned we are losing winter in Canada of all places.

All I can hope for is nuclear winter at this point.

though i have zero experience of skiing deep snow rodeo 7 blunt feels better than backflip into powder (as of now) my opinion is subject to change if i ever decide to leave swifty

[tag=246030]@dwt802[/tag] has done some sick 7s into powder too, plenty of other sweet feeling tricks that aren't backflips that feel better landing in powder than park jumps - tho you're right I think big sky's jumps are the best feeling park jump I've hit. Plus there's the added bonus of not dealing with Swifty's lift lines

People need to stop traversing across runs without looking uphill. Most of my near collisions have been with people who think traversing across the fall line gives them the right of way.

i need a ripping and playful all mountain ski that doesn’t mind some laps in the park or carving up groomers to pair with my 112 underfoot big mountain pow charger. I’m not really looking for suggestions as i’m pretty sure about what im going to get but im curious what width underfoot would be, in your opinion, complimentary to my 112? keep in mind that i take out my pow skis after 3+ inches of snow. so in theory this width would need to properly handle 3 inches of pow.

Any tips on how to do clean spins off a donkey dick? I can consistently do it now, but either I'm way bent over on landing or my arms go crazy, no matter how hard I try not to do those things

It got bare quick, got busy too and barely got any ruby days in.

today was fun, sticky, but a killer setup still

gave up half of a pow day to teach my niece how to ski, which was totally worth it. My legs were on fire from crouching down so much.

Don't gotta go to the gym. Teach tiny humans to ski.

Rhino pills.

Kind ready for the offseason, my security deposit back, and hopefully a season end bonus for everyone who has been dealing with this shit since November.

Anyone able to drop the link to the used gear steal thread? Found two gems. minty hellbents with bindings for 200 and Jeffrey 108's with bindings for 300.

Did all the good skiers in CO move to Utah? Been riding a lot of woodward copper and haven't seen any beasts lately, what's up with that?
